First, HAHAHA @ the Shinji/Aizen stuff. Also, it's nice to see Shunsui and Ukitake, along with Hiyori, Love, and what not too. Urahara arriving late is also hilarious. Great chapter. I'm liking this past story thing. Reminds me of the awesome Kakashi Gaiden from Naruto.

That was Kensei. He's another vizard, who uses his shikai (a short knife lol) to fight Ichigo's hollow form. IIRC, he was the one Ichigo fired a cero at.

I'm gonna go out on a limb and say that Isshin Kurosaki is captain of either 6 or 10 (I'm leaning towards 10). Gin and Byakuya both became captains about 50 years before the start of the story, and Toshiro is newer than them isn't he? Which means that either Byakuya or Toshiro probably replaced Isshin, because he left Soul Society ~20 years before the start of the main story.

I'd also guess that Hachi (the bigass vizard) is in the Kido Corps rather than the Gotei 13.

I dont think Yoruichi was ever a captain. just leader of the special forces squad. It's never been stated in the manga, and she implies she's never been in the gotei13 to ichigo.
