    Uryuu is a good device to use here I think. Siding with his friends but not actually the Shinigami as a whole. I could see him pulling revenge plot for his killed grandfather and by extension the other Quincy slaughtered by Shinigami. And how much does his father know of these events. .. enough to be Ichigo's new training partner? Good stuff is incoming.

    It'll probably be a good 100+ chapters into the arc, 57 chapters at the moment, before they'll probably even consider rebooting the anime. Unless they plan on doing shinigami ostrich episodes, we're gonna be waiting a while.

    This is my theory:

    Bach doesn't know Ishida isn't pure - his powers (nor Ichigo's) hadn't awakened by that point. They only know him by name. From his sealed "tomb" he 'pulled' the powers of Masaki (tainted) and Katagiri (mixed) for himself in order to revive. The reason why he can't leave the shadow realm for two long is probably because he isn't actually living or there's another reason like he needs a certain something in order to become 'whole'.

    I'm betting he will sacrifice the remaining Quincy to become whole again or Ishida likely won't survive what's going on so that someone dies in Bleach.

    Ishida, on the other hand, isn't likely to join up with them. They killed his mom.
