Although Renji knew about his past, knew what he wanted to do to get stronger and for the most part had his "resolve". They still choose to test him etc, I might be reaching for something just think there's more there.

Not really. They just know Ichigo means business and has a reason to fight other than protecting his friends. They bowed because Ichigo isn't messing around and now respects his power rather than using it as a tool to win fights.

And that was right after Hitsugaya was doing the smart thing and boning up on his non-bankai training.

And yeah, big dog thing is weird. Not that normal slightly human sized bipedal dog person isn't weird.
At first I thought it might be his zanpaktou spirit, but I don't think he'd have said "It's been a long time"

Yeah, that's what I thought. It was a similar logic Byakuya had with Renji before he got his shit pushed in within 3.2 seconds before realizing what the fuck was going on.

Am I only one that kinda got annoyed when the Afro guys chick showed up to pick up Ichigo? When Isshin said "How do you expect to get back" I immediately hoped for a Shiba clan reunion lol.

Didn't Byakuya say it takes 10 years of training to master a Bankai? Assuming he got it after the battle with Aizen, it seems Hisagi's Bankai will be best used as fodder to use up one of their steals rather than a backup. But we haven't seen it, so I imagine Kensei's will be absorbed and Hisagi will step in.

And I don't know if she's training them -- I thought they walked off into the woods with Ganju?

Well Hisagi was always scared of his power's iirc, so there's a good possibility he's had it for much longer.

You know the reason they probably couldn't take Ichigo's bankai was because it wasn't a "real bankai". Or it could just be the part quincy thing.

Curious how this all turns out now. Also go back to Zaraki and his sword's name, kubo..

Yeah I couldn't remember what exactly happened and can't look it up on my computer right now. I am going to assume she is training seeing how she always made Ganju her bitch way back in the manga.

Hisagi probably does have his bankai as stated earlier and is probably scared to unleash it. Retarded seeing how he is around people who could easily knock him out though.

They don't necessarily have to have mastered their bankai for it to be useful. Renji's portable escalator has come through for Ichigo and friends countless times.

They couldn't take Ichigo's bankai because their Quincy stuff doesn't work on Quincies.
