This is what I mean; Stop thinking like that. Zangetsu isn't manifesting as an imitation of his shinigami powers. Ichigo's powers aren't separate. He's always been using his quincy/human/shinigami/hollow powers at the same time. The appearance was just that of the one that was more prevelant at that specific point in time. For reference I believe you can see the chapter where Ichigo fights Whitey to control his hollow powers and become a Vizard. Whitey talks about the horse and the king, and how the king is the one who simply is most prevalent.

Wrong. An Asauchi is an unrefined sword that has not interacted with a specific Shinigami's souls directly in any way, shape, or form. The soul that the zanpakuto is based on is the soul of the Shinigami.

This, especially with the previous sentence that's incorrect, can easily be misinterpreted. Both the Asauchi and Zanpakuto's are physical swords. A zanpakuto is the one that a Shinigami creates by infusing his soul into an Asauchi.

In Ichigo's case, he didn't have an Asauchi. Which is why I said that I believe the White acted as an Asauchi in this case. Like Oetsu said, Asauchi and White are similar.

You can believe that whitey acted as an asauchi, but realize that this is only your own theory. Do not push it as fact. Especially when the axioms you based this theory on are completely shit and proven to be wrong.

No, but thats not the issue. The issue is more at for the past week, internet at My place has been dead for an unknown reason, and the cable company does not know what the problem is. So ive been forcerd to post from My phone, and believe me when i say that writing posts on an iPhone is hard and beyond annoying -- especially when when it keps correcting english words in to Swedish, or skip letters because i type too fast, or auto-correct normal words in to stupid words (in this phrase along it changed words in to Woods 4 times, and phrase in to parade 2 times), meaning a lot of the auto-correct changes and skipped words gets overlooked. And I'm sorry, but I'm not going to use that annoyingly small screen with inaccurate markers to go back and for trying to change every word, I gave up on that a long time ago ;( it would be a lot easier trying to convey my thoughts if I actually had access to Internet on my computer and could write on a keyboard instead of a phone. I've never hated iPhone more than I do now, having been forced to browse BG on it. Have you ever tried making a coherent post longer than one phrase on it? It makes you want to commit suicide.

It's why almost all of my posts this past week has a lot of edits, because I try to change completely incomprehensible words in to actual words.

Just to add some more support to the idea of the most dominant aspect of Ichigo determining the appearance, think beyond his Zanpakuto abilities to his Shunpo. Throughout the series, he has used Shunpo, no one has ever questioned that, etc. But we know that there are other forms -- the Quincy have Hirenkyaku and Hollows have Sonido. When Ishida fought Mayuri, Mayuri noticed the difference (and I think when he used it in Hueco Mundo, the first Arrancar he fought noticed the difference to). Similarly, when Matsumoto fought Grimmjow's fracion, she remarked that it appeared similar to Sonido, so it must be different. And I don't think it's as simple as Urahara trained him. When Ichigo lost control against Ulquiorra, he used Sonido, not Shunpo. His Hollow form became dominant, he used the Hollow form of movement.
