Speculation, but I think the manga's name is making more sense now with White and Ichigo getting his true zanpakuto. It's been kind of downplayed since the beginning, but remember non-bankai folk need to call out some kind of command to activate their shikai, like, "Roar, Zabimaru!" and such. Granted, "Bleach, Zangetsu!" doesn't sound all that good and Ichigo's generally avoided the shikai call due to his latent form. I guess I'll feel better about the possibility if his new abilities are cool.

Wasn't it just Kubo's dissatisfaction with the title "Black" -- which was supposed to allude to the Shinigami attire -- then "White" -- which he thought was an even worse idea -- and then finally arriving at the obscure/in-his-own-mind-somehow-similar-enough-to-the-word-White-that-the-concept-could-cryptically-still-work-by-association "Bleach"? Just seems to me like one of many times he fetishizes Western languages. He likes using other languages oddly.

The use of English and German don't surprise me in the slightest, I am slightly amazed by the prominence of Spanish (embodied in the Espada and Hollows in general).
