Stream version just says the battle intensifies, which I took to mean the overall battle intensifies. And if anything, that just adds more to my point that it lessens Hituguya and Rangiku's strategy and teamwork.

That vacuum shit doesn't even make any sense. Sure a vacuum can insulate but considering it's a whole bunch of thin ice all the fire guy has to do is drill a hole straight through and then the (presumably given it just had giant goddamn fireballs sliced through it)hot air rushes though the opening he made in all the layers. Hell the fire guy should have even managed to do this by accident by now even on the first volley since each layer of ice will cause the hot air to rush in an destroy the next while being helped along by the fact that it's a vacuum so all the air should be automatically sucked in. The ice shouldn't be nearly as impenetrable I think but I'm sure there are plenty of bored physics majors reading who can actually math this out.

No air means no fire. With only air pushing outside the ice instead from the inside, the ice would supercool any moisture that rushed in from damage or melting and instantly freeze it because of the difference in pressure.

This motherfucker must be the stupidest Quincy in the entire group for not dissolving the ice right there. Those are also some really shitty flames considering the Quincy's reiatsu is probably the fuel for the fireballs.

Wasn't the ability to break down the world connected to the last resort move? I don't really remember much about the fight with the guy in Hueco Mundo, or if using that ability was a concern (wasn't he only unhappy that Ichigo made him turn into a monster or something..?), but Ishida said if he used that ability he'd lose all his powers. If this guy got taken out too quickly and is actually dead, he might not have hit the point of desperation that Ishida was at.

Its fucking Japan as a whole, but at least some anime let the announcer do it, or show two teammates of the fighter muttering the strategy to one another if you want to inform the audience as to what the hell is happening.

It's really not that hard to explain how shit works via an inner monologue. Maybe he was compelled to tell the enemy exactly how his technique works because the enemy told everyone how their techniques work. (lolkubo)
