I'm not ignorant of the score. More often than not, if a captain or vice captain shows off an unseen ability to a mook, they're struck down like a bitch maybe a chapter later because the 1st Law of Bleach Thermodynamics is that you need at least two powerups to win your fucking fights.

Still, new things actually happening is good for Bleach. This is leagues better than last chapter's ICHIGO VS. STAIRS waste of time.

Well this is a temporary status and from what I gathered it's suicide cause he lost his heart. The old wolf says "you're not obliged to throw away your life for some stupid shinigami", of course he might be able to dispose of Bambi but it's still a kuborisk!

Great chapter, but its going to continue the cycle of "cool showing >> one shot >> witty defense >> cool showing >> one shot >> witty defense" ad nauseum.

Still, the pages look pretty and he's got furry bishie ears, so who can really complain?
