As stupid as it is to throw an item like that away without confirming latent, I dont see why everyone is flamming him. Ring would probably be rotting in his storage anyway if he play mage only like he says. The item is hot, but it's still barely better than other stuff on AH (toreador/sniper+1)

I'd keep it for E-peen if I played mage, and could use it in the Auto-Translator or something. >_>;

Kilik what set up do you use, if you don't mind sharing? I was going RDM RDM BLM, but someone quit the game so I need to find a new set up. =(

The past 3 days Ive gone with the same 3-4 people (depending on who has tags). We are usually NIN NIN(or mnk) WAR RDM BLM if all 5 have tags or NIN NIN WAR RDM if only 4 have tags. As long as you are patient with the pulls so that you dont get links everytime, its really easy.

He's getting flamed because:

- In his own words he got this quite a while ago. People would have liked to know quite a while ago where this ring came from.

- He never bothered to test the latent before tossing it. People have been fantasizing about the latent not being a big bag of suck as it would be one of the best rings in the game for a DD.

- He tossed it for freaking Echo Drops.

A simple "Hay guys, look what I got. Is it crap?" could have saved quite a bit of time and speculation. Instead all the melee that have been hoping to find this gem get to see someone blithely /toss it without even knowing what they had.

Thanks, are you 100% on wins? With RDM RDM BLM if we got really unlucky on the debuffs you get from the NPC we would have a hard time, but otherwise it was basically 100% win.

And to others, sorry, I really didn’t realize the latent was not confirmed when I had it.. Like I said I was under the impression it only worked at lvl 30 and 60, and I defiantly don’t have room to hold an item for those rare situations. =/

Yup, we havent lost yet. The only time we were in danger of dying was when the BLM lamia got a -ga3 off during the raptor buff which lowers your hp. It brought the NIN and WAR down to like 100 hp, but even if they did die, anyone can kite the lamia until they got raised since you run so fast lol.

That would have been my answer as well.

It's not the end of the world for sure. Just a tad frustrating once the latent is (semi) confirmed as "OMG YES!" and not "F U SE!".

Yes, but rare/ex tag make it impossible to sell, and you cant use that ring to level another job (I supose a normal sniper would worm for 30-74 tho)
