I agree. This isn't a first NA with XXX Relic event though. It's an 'Equip it on your level 75 job" event. Several orders of magnitude easier to check.

Am I the only one to think that the guy's just full of BS to begin with? Claims to have an item that no one else (that I've seen) in the game has, and then couples it with a lame excuse to not have a screenshot?

Anyway, it does make complete sense that a lot of the undiscovered items come from higher ranked assault appraisals. It's guaranteed that ??? equipment (not boxes) have a >0% chance of being appraised into a Rare/Ex item, and to my knowledge no two Assaults have the same rare/ex appraisals. So it follows that every assault which you can go to the wiki and find that doesn't have a rare/ex appraisal listed for one of it's ??? equipments is an undiscovered item. Moreoever, Divisor Ring was introduced in the same update that Sergeant Major got added to the game.

Speaking of which, does anyone have a list of all equip that was added in the Sergeant Major update?

Well I dont do kings anymore, so Fafhogg isnt a problem
Sea NM's dont sleep, so poison is only extra dmg.
I go BLM to ouryu, and we havent dont Bahamut in a fucking long time, partially cause I havent seen a cloud evoker since like june 2006.
Cerb doesnt sleep...
Tiamat does sleep, so I use caution there. Usually meleeing it isnt a problem for me, except for the ninja counters...though I'll swap to another dagger around 25%, just incase shit hits the fan.

I took all the Rare/Ex ones and removed the ones that have latents only active while in Besieged, since that kind of gear never comes from Assault.

Seems pretty cut and dry that most of these undiscovered items come from appraisals, you could probably even match them up with their respective assaults with some browsing around on the wiki, which I don't have time for atm.

They're not unappraised ??? Capes anymore. I appraised one as a Cotton Cape +1.

I have from an unconfirmed source that Ice Gauntlets come from Defuse The Threat in Periqia. Haven't been able to go actually spam it (especially since the people I usually go with can't use 'em), but if someone else wants to check?

I heard that too, but nobody I've seen has ever even gotten ??? Gauntlets to drop there, much less Ice Gauntlets.

I've gotten the ice gauntlets. They came from ??? Gloves in Defuse the Threat. Stupidly enough, I didn't SS it, so I don't have absolute proof, but I -do- have the gloves, and use them on my paladin. I adore them. The Ice Spikes effect has a decent proc rate. It seems better than Blaze Spikes on Wyvern Helm, but I don't get hit that often on dragoon, especially compared to paladin. The paralyze rate seems about equivalent to what I see from ice spikes spells on red mage.

However, I got them on the first run my static did in Periqia SM, and we've been spamming the assault for points since (as it's easy, quick, and has a good point reward), and out of almost 30 runs, we have yet to see another drop. Lots and lots of feather collars.

Hi, I'm Vaxx of Shiva.

Concerning Divisor Ring, it works for me at 75, it also works for me at 40. It, however, does not work for me at 37. Those are all the tests I've done, I don't have any other jobs above 30 that aren't 75, 37, or 40.

Someone recently modified the wiki page saying the latent to be main divisible by sub, but I do not think this to be true, since it works at 75.

"Someone from Shiva" and no one IM's me, I get it Vaxx was in an old LS with me, I'll log on and see if he's on. I wouldn't consider him a fool, he was a top member of the first NA LS to kill Kirin on Shiva. So (hopefully) he has a decent idea to keep it and test it. loltarumnk so he has a melee job. too.
