Upgrade RAM, POL viewer says GTFO

I just installed two Corsair 1G DDR sticks, replacing the two Kingston 512 DDR sticks I had. After booting the system back up, everything functions fine except the POL viewer. As soon as POL attempts to connect, my whole system shuts down. I can't even pull up the task manager. I put the old RAM back in, and everything seems to function normally. FFXI won't support 2G of RAM? I'm way confused.

It's more likely that you have bad RAM, and running PoL actually makes your system use enough that it becomes a problem.

I'm still slacking off on RMA'ing one of my 1gig XMS sticks :/

Try using this http://www.ultimatebootcd.com/ and running some of the RAM tests included.
