Don't ask me, I didn't make the rules. But fact remains that for a good portion of the world America is a sole country. So the "every continent begins and ends with the same letter" statement is true. I couldn't care less how many continents there are in the world. We're still on the same planet :D

    Wrong.

    "Go." is the shortest.

"Go." does not have a subject. Therefore it is not complete.

    Edit to clarify:

Most importantly, the complete sentence must contain at least one main clause. A main clause contains an independent subject and verb and expresses a complete thought.
A *complete* sentence, as is what we're talking about, has a subject, not an implied one.

http://blog.zzaps.com/10/26/shortest-sentence my link trumps yours, the guy who wrote mine EDITS WIKIPEDIA LIKE AL

    to clarify:
Go” is an action verb and can be used in an imperative mood, which means that it can be used with the good, old “You Understood.” So “Go” actually means “You go.”
Some people claim that “I am.” Is the shortest sentence. Well, hate to tell you, but you’re also wrong. Not only is it not the shortest sentence, but it’s also not technically a ‘sentence’ at all!

"I am." is actually a complete sentence. It is, because it's stating that a person exists.

I thought we were talking about the shortest "Complete Sentence" not "shortest sentence". Which means my link, which is about a "Complete sentence" is the more accurate one.

    C-C-COMBO BREAKER!!!

"Go." is a command, whereas "I am." is a statement.

You have to specify "sentence" when you say one is the shortest: Shortest declarative sentence or shortest imperative sentence?

It's not a nut, it's a tree. Comes from the portuguese word for "ember"

    79. It has been estimated that humans use only 10% of their brain.

    216. The common idea that only 10% of the brain is used it not true as it is impossible to determine the actual percentage because of the complexity of the brain.

    Best ones:

    23. The average person spends 6 months of their life sitting at red lights.

    51. Count the number of cricket chirps in a 15-second period, add 37 to the total, and your result will be very close to the actual outdoor Fahrenheit temperature.

    55. If one places a tiny amount of liquor on a scorpion, it will instantly go mad and sting itself to death.

    56. It is illegal to hunt camels in the state of Arizona.

    61. When you sneeze, air and particles travel through the nostrils at speeds over100 mph. During this time, all bodily functions stop, including your heart, contributing to the impossibility of keeping one's eyes open during a sneeze. (That's interesting... never knew everything stopped)

    65. Sex burns 360 calories per hour. (There is no way that is true... that is way too fucking low unless they measured some old farts who barely move when they're having sex...)

    69. The pop you hear when you crack your knuckles is actually a bubble of gas burning. (Fucking badass mini explosion in my knuckles ftw.)

    84. 1 in 8 Americans has worked at a McDonalds restaurant. (I love McDonalds, fuck all your internet fags who are like, omg it makes me feel so gross, you know you love it too)

    91. Women blink nearly twice as much as men. (Because they fucking lie more and use their looks more often to gain advantages!!!)

    100. The Human eyes never grow, but nose and ears never stop growing. (This can't be fucking true.... babies have small ass eyes.)

    115. Researchers at the Texas Department of Highways in Fort Worth determined the cow population of the U.S. burps some 50 million tons of valuable hydrocarbons into the atmosphere each year. The accumulated burps of ten average cows could keep a small house adequately heated and its stove operating for a year. (WOW)

    122. 400-quarter pounders can be made from 1 cow. (I want a cow for Christmas, or maybe I'm just hungry)

    130. Intelligent people have more zinc and copper in their hair. (WEIRD)

    141. The phrase "rule of thumb" is derived from an old English law, which stated that you couldn't beat your wife with anything wider than your thumb. (HAHAHA)

    150. Dr. Kellogg introduced Kellogg's Corn Flakes in hopes that it would reduce masturbation. (LMFAO)

    153. The Black Widow spider eats her mate during or after sex. (Damn I didn't know "during"... that's kinky)

    161. The verb "cleave" is the only English word with two synonyms which are antonyms of each other: adhere and separate.

    175. The value of Pi will be officially "rounded down" to 3.14 from 3.14159265359 on December 31, 1999. (Damn this is OFN)

    188. It takes about 142.18 licks to reach the center of a Tootsie pop. (Nooooooooo you bitch!)

    6. Studies show that if a cat falls off the seventh floor of a building it has about thirty percent less chance of surviving than a cat that falls off the twentieth floor. It supposedly takes about eight floors for the cat to realize what is occurring, relax and correct itself.

kinda curious how the tests on this one went...
