Off Topic - Question for all
Armored Core Last Raven - good bad?
i picked up silent line a long time ago and much enjoyed it (although i pretty much suck at it)
was curious if Last raven was a step up or a step back. most of the reviews i read said it was a step back.


back on topic - i really like how it looks like you can fly for longer periods of time. i remember in the previous games you could pretty much stay in the air for only a few seconds before something would overheat or you ran out of energy or something. Water levels sucked then >.<

i played the latest one on PS2, your mech thing is EXTREMELY
customizable to suit your playing style, though i did find the weight limits a bit tedious most of the time and there were never any "best" parts, it really was made to suit everybody

kinda was disappointed when i played through it that there were no "best" parts

The story is usually revealed from the missions/mail/etc, usually something about corporations waring against each other that are being attacked by terrorist which are both controlled by some supercomputer behind the scenes, but WHO CARES BECAUSE AC IS GOING TO FUCKING OWN FACE.

P.S. You could fly in AC2(I think this is the first one on PS2) if you did the human enchancements (super radiator cool, energy recharge, ranged melee attack, etc if you get like a 20k+ debt at the beginning of the game) and the other installments (but you needed to beat the game)

I have tried to get into the AC line many times. I have always enjoyed them... but the excitement would sadly fade after a while. I am actually much more excited about this one than i have been for the last few that have come out.

I am definitely Gameflying it and going from there.

What these games were ALWAYS missing was good online play. I haven't seen a lot about it online yet but on xbox live how could it not be good? What was also interesting was how you can save your mech design as a spec to send to other people so they could recreate it easily. While this doesn't look like a mind blowing feature I think it will be cool sharing different mech designs and trying them out.

Also there are some gear in the game which is THE BEST gear but not a lot. If there was one set of parts that was hands down better than all the rest the customization would be pointless.

Worth noting also is that the Xbox360 version of AC4 is confirmed to be the only one to have Voice Chat during online play. The PS3 version is surprisingly lacking it.
