Downloaded the demo from XBL, HARD AS BALLS.

OTOH, it's enormously fun too. Everything with it seems to click.

Nice! Can't wait to try this out.

Oh, and Insanelol... how is Formula Front? I completely forgot about that one, and have never played it.

It's in a 'different' universe of that from the original Armored Cores. Basically AC's are used for in mecha tournaments pretty much like the ranking in the original games. It takes awhile to get used too but it's worth it imo( for AC fans anyways)

I don't know anything about this game persay, never been a fan of Mech games, but just for your guys info: EGM rated this game like an average of a 3.5. They said all the customization was awesome, but everything about playing the game was horrible.
Again I don't know anything about it, just an fyi.

Wait... they have a review up for AC4? I can't find it, just a few previews and no ratings. =(

Also, just to clarify, is the AC4 Demo on US XboxLive? I know that the Japanese Xbox Live got a Demo on the 1st... and i don't feel like messing with the whole 2nd Live Account for Japanese or EUR demos.

And, i am also 99% sure that the AC4 Demo is for Japanese Live Accounts only ... and i just don't feel like setting that up. I really don't understand that myself... why only Demo it in Japanese accounts?

Armored core games have NEVER gotten good reviews. They are one of those series that is just not for every one but for those who can get past the problems with the series it's always been a fun and rewarding series to play.

They are the most unbiased reviews that are out there. Probably the most credible reviews in the industry

the only problem people seem to have is with the controls, which I admit take some getting used too, but it really is not hard. Once you get used to them controlling your AC is easy and feels very rewarding. I remember playing AC2 again after about 6-7 years and it literally took me an hour to get used to the whole thing again (granted back then I played it alot).

New comers are always put off by the controls but AC fans like myself should have no problem.

The one thing I didn't like about AC was how straight forward the best builds were. I throughly played AC2, and I remember at the end of the game, the bosses were either impossible or completely sissies depending on what weapon you used.

on the 3rd one (i think) i always used this huge blue laser cannon that you had to kneel down to use without tanker legs, it would usually take off a quarter or more (depending if you had add-ons to increase damage) of any bosses AP

I always loved the AC series, played all of them so far. I must admit that everytime i played this game i get stuck on the 10th mission or so and stop playing it out of frustration and soon forget about the game completely. idk if it is me sucking so much or what, probably is.

The online play will be really good. Several of the reviews of the jp version of AC4 mentioned it was basically seemless.
