Maybe it was just inside limbus. Although we've used mazurka-tanking before in areas where multiple mobs are close to eachtoher so that we don't have to provoke the slept ones to keep them off the mages. Never had to explicity act on those mobs to build hate on them while they were slept.

Ussually with mazurka tanking anyone that the mob can see getting mazurka gets you hate. It makes mazurka tanking in an area with adds dangerous b/c you can end up taking hate from the people that are supposed to be tanking the adds. You don't have to explicity act on either the mob or the puller.

I know a bunch of people that have tried mazurka tanking in dynamis only to get destroyed by everything that was slept when it wakes up.

Not in Limbus, everyone is on the hate list as soon as anyone is, just like a lot of mission BCs. I've been frustrated by this repeatedly while watching Hide fail when I've had no association, direct or indirect, with a mob that someone else has attacked in Limbus.

Ah, right, just remembered what happened to us once in Limbus... But while this is true that mobs have some sort of party/alliance aggro, I'm guessing you still still need to actually build hate like normal mobs (hit puller / mob / someone with hate with any spell to get some hate yourself).

it still only works if you hit someone who was on the mobs hate list, thus your mazurka is hitting someone in the party that acted on the mob, thus getting you on the hate list, and then you build from there.

First snow day cancelling work/school for me since 1991, and maintenance woot! Now I know what everyone else feels like when they schedule maintenance on Columbus Day/MLK Day/some other holiday I don't get off.

Well guess what. EU players are kinda sick of the raw deal generally. I'm not overly bothered cos I always have stuff to do I usually leave, but someone CHOOSING to read an EU player complaining or logging on to the "Cannot play during maintenance" hmm ...

Seems that everytime I come home from work these days there's maintenance.

But anyway ...

I don't think people are really surprised by the the time, just the frequency of these maintenances. Since the Dec update there have been a lot of these.
