Too bad it doesn't include which mob families drop what gear

Any dynamis mob is capable of dropping any gear that drops in that dynamis, with the exception of NMs that are predisposed to drop certain items.

Non NM's are limited to certain gear types in CoP zones. There was a thread showing which are capable of dropping which in Valkurm, somewhere on these forums.

I've noticed NQ relics, relic -1 pieces and accessories drop from all types of mobs in the 3 noobzone areas. No experience with Tavnazia personally, I know drops are somehow divided there (Hydra's dropping something else than demons), but I think the fact that the Christmas music starts playing when you win already qualifies Tavnazia as a wacky exception to the rule.

As far as bubu goes, are blms useless cuz, we've yet to win it and we mostly do mage runs. I'm not there for damage since im doin most of the pulls and stuff, but it never seems that we kill dragons as quickly as you guys do. Usually go in with anywhere between 17-24 people, so I was wondering if we should try being melee heavy instead of mostly mages

The 2 times I was on BLM for a run, my damage was pretty gimp for the Dragons and Mega. When I set peoples jobs, I go melee heavy and AB has been cake.

OK, we'll try that then, I had wanted mages for the animals at the end in case we linked a lot, since I alawys see vids of stuff like that happening, but next time, we'll melee it up since we have quite a few brds.

I make sure to take like 3 BLMs for sleeping after Mega. Usually they are the people with other jobs I don't need or I have a bunch of for the run.

Las time I did this w/ my dynamis LS, we had 30 people, and we just killed Aitvaras, Gi'Bhe Fleshfeaster (dropped Whm AF, lulz), Barong and Tarasca, in that order, but sometimes we do Tarasca before Barong. We found the drop rate to be surprisingly good, and 2-hours weren't a problem. Just gotta make sure AB dies before it gets to NIN and SMN, like others have said.

Then we farmed Ravens > Crabs > Dhalmels > Uragnites, until we ran out of time. I think a total of 13 misc. AF dropped, which really isn't bad.
