Girls don't like guys that follow them around like puppy dogs. Your problem was you established yourself as the nice guy. Nice guys = friends. Girls want the unattainable. They want a challenge. You should have acted disinterested in her and maybe even playfully been an asshole to her.

You need to move on, and by move on I mean stop posting in this thread, and stop talking to her (show her that you have absolutely no interest in her anymore now that she is off the market). Don't be a douche and say stupid shit like "well if I can't have you as my lover I at least want you as my friend" bullshit. Maybe, just maybe, you not showering her with attention will snap her out of it and she'll realize she'd rather be with you. At this point, that's your only play.

Probably me, but i can't do that to the guy. He is a decent guy and we are very alike. We are so alike in fact that everyone in my circle of friends calls him my mascot. I would never wish harm upon him. She pretty much picked the closest thing to me, but with a bigger unit.

On a serious note, I feel your pain and it sounds like you have a healthy attitude about it. If you really did care about her then you would wish her nothing but success and happiness in her marriage which you said that you do.

I recommend that you continue to become distant friends and not really hang out with her anymore. Until you get over your feelings it will only serve to torture yourself. It's like going to a strip joint and not being able to touch the women.

Just have a bunch of meaningless relationships. I did that after a bad break up. There's a lot of hot chicks out there for guys who are not looking for anything long term.
