I was mildly amused by that part of the show when it first came out. But after that the people who could actually sing and all the bullshit song and dance routines got old fast. The music business is full of souless bland people who can carry a tune. The show is nothing but a pathetic attempt to market new puppets for them to control. The sooner it goes off the air and all the "winners" are forgotten the better.

The part where Randy was trash talking the singing coach was fucking hilarious. Then simon said "You gonna sit here and take that"...funny shit. As far as Idol contestants go...I like that single the daughtery dude has out. Haven't bothered to listen to the entire CD, just heard that song come across the radio one day. My mom is a big Carrie Underwood fan, but she loves country music. Can't really think of any other contestants...uhh, kelly clarkson. So in 6 seasons, i know 2 winners, and only like one song from a dude that didn't even win the competition. Goes to show you how fast the winners fade out.

I personally really liked the way Ruben sang, that dude was was a very solid singer. Tamyra was good also, who actually lost to Kelly iirc. I only know of her because I looked her up after hearing her version of Luther's "Dance with my Father" BRP has a point though, Kelly was a good singer from what I've heard. Pretty sure that Ruben is making some cash along with Clay.

There has been alot of good talent on that show. I'm a huge fan of old R&B so I always stumble over some american idol, and other shows like that, while surfin' youtube.

Same thing happened for Australian Idol.

The winner of the first has a career - his name is Guy Sebastian and he looks like a Harlequin Fetus with lemon squeezed in his eye fulltime. He's only famous because he's the winner of the first. He's ugly looking and sounds like a woman when he sings.

The winner of the second, her name is Casey Donovan and she looks like a wild bush pig. Not trying to sound prejudice against fatty boombas, but I'm sorry, if you're a girl and look like you just swallowed my fridge whole, you're not going to sell CDs no matter how amazing your songs are. Her record label dropped her due to poor CD sales, poor image, and lack of originality. Sure she could sing, but she released pure garbage.

The winner of the third - Kate De Araugo was ok, she has good looks, can sing well, but 0 personality, she's like super boring. Her songs sell decently though, nothing special, all super generic.

The winner of the fourth one just confirmed that Australians + Voting = retarded consequences. It was between a 16 year old girl who sounds like whitney houston (back before she was a crack whore), or some irish emo dude who "has a family". Big whoop you have a child, you sound just like everyone else. Silly me for thinking the girl was gonna win and maybe we'll have a good voice on TV again. Anyway yeah, an Irish dude won the last Australian Idol, funny how that works.

I watched American Idol for the first time last night. Was pretty funny I guess. Mainly just seeing Simon bash the crappy people. They surely just invite people who can't sing on the show just to turn them down. Makes good television.
