I wasn't a huge fan of Zelda,

wouldn't say I "Don't like it", but it wasn't very satisfying in relation.

it felt like Ocarina of time with some small gameplay changes, new control scheme(duh), and slightly better graphics.

Aside from the controller making it more interesting it didn't seem like anything new compared to the old Zelda.

Note, I also didn't get very far in zelda, played it off and on for couple weeks. But regardless..

Whereas FF12 was a big change from previous console Final Fantasies, offering an entirely new gameplay experience.

With large amounts of ideas ported over from FF11 obviously.

Okami. I haven't played FFXII yet, and I didn't like TP. TP just didn't have that indescribable something like most Zelda games, but I think the real reason I didn't enjoy the game was because I had carpal tunnel and it was painful to play.

My only favorite Zelda was the SNES version. The rest have been mediocre good but lacking the appeal to me. Might be cause I was like 10 when SNES came out and a lot of games were so much win back then.

2006 didn't put out a lot of winners, however I would say FFXII, Oblivion, R6: Vegas, and Dead Rising put out the best for their genres.

There are two types of people... those that are zelda fans, and those who never played zelda.

With that said, TP clearly tops the #1 slot IMO. GoW was fun for about a week, same with FFXII until you got the hang of the gambit system -- then it just became another boring game.

Zelda delivers. (and ALttP is the best Zelda, FYI >.> VC release PREEEEEEZ)

Not everyone enjoys Zelda. I have played thru 5 different Zelda's but they have never interested me. Some people latch onto the story and go with it, some don't.

I really don't understand why there are alot of people who just use there Nintendo Fanboy card and say whenever a new Zelda game cames out it is the best game of the year, cause its Zelda.

It never interested me.
I liked Mario to a point, but after rehashing the same gameplay over and over it gets tiring.
Some people do get bored of the samething, some don't.

Aside from Zelda TP, the upcoming Super Smash Brothers and Mario Galaxy seem to be the only other 2 games for the Wii that interest me in the slightest.

Are there any games in the forseeable future that push the Wii gaming experience beyond what it is allready?

Whereas PS3 hasn't even come close to reaching its potential in gaming experience, the XBOX360 is close to its Climax(Halo3 will be the echelon probably).

Of the year? Only game I got into other than FFXI in 2006 was FFXII...so FFXII, nothing else came close (except WoW, but I doubt it counts as a 2006 game).
