Xav what is your gamertag? I play Gears all the time, so I can add you as a friend.
I played with someone last night who had 1000 Gamerpoints in the game last night, which means he already has 10,000 kills. Pretty freakin crazy.
    But yea whats your GT.

I'm up to the 2nd temple in TP, and I really don't like aspects of this Zelda game. I've been playing Zelda since I was a kid (the first zelda was the first game we had outside of Mario Bros/Duck Hunt).

I absolutely hate the wolf mode, I hate feeling like Midna's slave, and the jump sequences where Midna appears, you target him, and press a button to leap to him are really embarrassing from a gameplay standpoint. Example: You need to get somewhere. Where you need to get is up high. You can't find the way to get there right now. Do you: A) Try to find some higher ledge you can leap to/something you can climb up/etc. or B) Run around the base hoping Midna will appear on top to give you a free pass?

It's fucking retarded, and my enthusiasm to continue this game is really low. (I loved OOT btw).

I've been playing FF games since I was a kid, FF1 was my 2nd RPG (after Dragon Warrior) and I've beaten almost every one of them. FFT is my favorite game of all time. FFXII has some really bright spots - I love the hunts system, they are very rewarding. The story seems okay, but between not playing it for 8 hours at a time, and doing all sorts of side-quests (like hunts) between story events, I seem to lose...the point...I guess, of what I'm doing next. I just know that once I'm satisfied I've done what I can in this area, I have to go ....over here somewhere....for some reason. I put about 25 hours into it and just lost motivation.

Oblivion was a remarkable experience, the world is so alive and real, you can take your character and specialize him in many, many different ways and do so many different things with him. The first-person aspect didn't bother me - it was unique and rewarding to actually have to aim and fire my bow at that RPGlooking mob. That being said, for RPGs for me the -most- important thing is how you improve your character. The system of getting stats based on what you did that level is an excellent idea - true "experience" based leveling. However, the world's monsters being harder based on your level, whether you're at the start of the game or the end, I think, is a really terrible idea for this game. And that's coming from someone who loves FFT, where all the random fights are based on your level. It works there, it doesn't work for me here. I want to run into mobs that will totally destroy me in Oblivion because I'm not a high enough level, and I want to be able to totallly dominate mobs in the starting areas, later on, because I've way outleveled them. Maybe that's just me.

I didn't play KH2, GoW, or Okami, so I can't comment there. I probably had more fun playing Resident Evil: 4 (on Wii, I never had a gamecube) than anything else.

I have no game of the year. Nothing was worthy that I played.

Zelda gets better after the 3rd dungeon (you get free control over human/wolf modes), and it's not as frustrating as the initial lame light-collecting.

I was kind of disappointed with the dungeons following the Master Sword aquisition though... I found them to be pretty short, especially in comparison to OoT's 5 temples. But they were pretty entertaining, and the last 2 dungeons were definitely storyline heavy.

All in all it was a pretty good game, but I don't think it captured the same fame that OoT did.

Yeah, I loved when you gain free control of it, made it much more fun. Light collecting 4tl.

Not that collecting the poe souls was any better, yeah? But at least it was kind of a relief when I got all 60 heh.

I still need to work on side quests, haven't even checked a guide yet. I've been busy in FFXI though, trying to hit 75 BLU. ;/

I loved TP, but I'm curious as to why anyone would even care to collect all those souls. Money was already worthless in the game (except for using the lolMagicArmor, which you didnt need since dying was so incredibly rare as it is), and all collecting the Poes did was give you infinite money...I know some people are perfectionists when it comes to games, but why collect the 60 Poe Souls when its entirely optional, and you hate it?

I died a total of 0 times the whole game and never even used the Magic Armor. Didn't even use a fairy. >.> Magic Armor would only be nice if there was some sort of hard mode.

CYBER STRIPPER. So many plot twists, like, will she take her skirt off before the pole slide or after?

    That and ff12.

It's mostly about being a perfectionist, lol.... but yeah, I found the game to be insanely easy (especially once you have over 6 hearts), and almost impossible to die in.

I think the hardest fight I had was with that warrior in the Temple of Time (just before you get the rod.)

Isn't that the case in most of these Zeldas since OoT Exu? I know in OoT I never was down more than 5 hearts at one time.

I heard Okami is really good, but I haven't really played it yet (even though i'm guessing it's kind of sort of like wolf form in Zelda TP? Razz)

Only thing that bothers me about that game is the annoying voices... in TP, at least you could stand Midna's blabber... but in the videos I saw, the "voices" in Okami are an absolute torture
LOL dude, it's like Zelda voice acting + The Language they speak on the Sims + how the bard Aerns sing in Al'Taieu

I guess... but I suppose i'm looking at TP this way because the dungeons post-Master sword acquisition are just too short... (in comparison to OoT -- hi2u Water Temple.)

Plus, is it just me or are there less enemies in TP (in dungeons) than there were in Wind Waker and OoT/MM?

    cube the newb

I know I know it owns.

cube actually came from gamecube, back when the system was renamed from dolphin, and it kind of just stuck w/ me in tfc, cs, etc.

Cube the Newb came about because I pulled some really stupid shit in a CS scrim a few times and well, yeah.
