Devotion and Stoneskin

Has anyone noticed that when you use Devotion with Stoneskin up you don't lose hp, but you lose the SS?

Does this also happen with Martyr?

Stoneskin may be used to mitigate damage the user takes, with no penalty to amount healed.

Stoneskin prevents Souleater HP loss as well.

I thought the Stoneskin vs. Martyr/Devotion thing was common knowledge among WHMs now.

You don't lose the stoneskin effect unless your devotion hits for equal to or above your stoneskin's damage cap. I cap stoneskin every cast, but only have like 1100 maximum hitpoints, so I generally have a few points of damage left on stoneskin after using devotion.

Need more HP gear.

Should be common knowledge simply because we all know what stoneskin does by now. It absorbs damage. From souleater and martyr to ambushing antlions, stoneskin absorbs anything.

No, stoneskin won't absorb red wine and tomato sauce, so you still have to be careful when eating those.
