got my name from one of my favourite games, FFT. Yeah I'm an unoriginal bastard, so what![]()
Lexa.
I just thought it was pretty. Also, it was the name of my first *cough* D&D character. *cough* <.<;;
My name has double meaning.
First meaning.
Greek mythology, in case don't know story i'll tell you in short version.
Orpheus goes to hades to get his wifes soul back. Having made it so far hades agrees but under one condition, having walked into hell he must walk back out without looking back. Being anxious that all his efforts were for naught he turns around only steps away from leaving hell. His wifes soul is then lost forever.
Theres a lot more the the story, too much to type.
Second meaning.
In Astronomy there is a theory of how Earths moon was created. One the theorys resolves around a planet roughly the size of mars. One day orbits cross and Earth and this mars size plant collide thus leading to the creation of the moon. The mars sized planet as you can guess was called Orpheous
Sorry for typing alot

I really liked Record of Lodoss War and when I created this character (an elf) I didn't want to go with a cheesy anime name ::hides from certain people with cheesy anime names:: and I always liked Deedlit summoning Sylph. I didn't want just "Sylph" so added the -et, mostly because I thought Sylphette (French feminine ending) was just a tad too girly for my taste. So yeah, Sylphet.
Wierd story: RL Japanese friends of mine who had no idea I played this game got my daughter a bib (from Japan) as a baby shower present and it had "Sylph kid" embroidered on it... I just kind of stared at it for 5 mins slackjawed.
Eraphiel (pronounced like era-feel, not e-raphael -___-;; )
Mine was just a random generation that ended with Eraphie (of which I've seen in random vids/ss's, there's another one on some server...). Didn't quite like how that sounded for whatever reason, added an L, and decided it fit the character.

I've already admitted to how corny it is, I don't need reminders!
Go back to work you slacker.
Skyylya
Skyy (Vodka) -lya (because the sorc in diablo II is female and it needed to sound feminine)
Been using skyylya since i started playing diablo II decades ago. Also use Skyy for male chars, i have a taru mule named Skyy and a galka mule named DaVinci.
Before I started this game, my sister played. She let me chat in her linkshell once when she was showing me the game. They asked me what name name was... The first thing that popped out was "Sugarplum" -- so when I actually started the game, I went with what I had told those people. ;o
I was getting into Typography when I first started playing and meh, that is about it.
Silmarwen Taralom is my real name in JRR Tolkien Elvish according to an online name translator. Whether or not it's accurate, I don't know, but I liked the name, so Silmarwen it is for almost every game I can. I named my first mule Taralom, thinking it didn't sound so bad for a name...
Sometimes when I play FFXI for long periods of time the smell which eminates from my body is rather potent
Wilimac is a Halfling name I found in the Forgotten Realms 3.0 campaign book.
I've been fascinated with wolves as long as I can remember.
My first online game was socom1 for ps2. I started out using my HS nickname (Millz) but switched it to [Tango]Wolf when I helped start a clan. Wolf is obviously super common and I can never get that name in any games. I decided to with a unique spelling of white wolf because more often than not that's taken as well.
I like it most times, but can not stand it when people call me whyte.
I'm kind of suprised how many people started on socom1. Anyone play on Cen1? >_>
