    Skilling magic

Ok, here It goes. Been lvling whm as second job and its lvl 59 atm. What im gettting at is that my healing and enhancing skill is kinda horrible, not even capped. Been standing infront of mog house, curing myself till no MP, wash rinse and repeat, and barely any skill up. Anyway you guys know to help it cap a little faster. Been looking at the WHM forums on KI and nothing. Any ideas or answers will be much appreciated. I'll check em when I get home from work, thanks again.

In case a WHM casts Pro IV and Shell IV on a big name brand General, you can do the same on their lowly Volunteer peons to get zee mad skillups for enhancing. Don't do the Imperial Troopers; they are PLDs and will put Pro IV and Shell III on themselves.

But yeah, Besieged rocks for skillups. You'll see like 0.5s if you're far from the cap since they count as like lvl 85 mobs or something.

    Besieged for everything.

    Protect Besieged NPCs for enhancing.

    Dia(ga) Besieged mobs for enfeebling.

    Heal Besieged NPCs for healing.

    Stone(ga) Besieged mobs for elemental.

    Sandspin Besieged mobs for blue.

    Banish(ga) Besieged mobs for divine.

Eeeeeexcept for wind/string skill. Phuabos in Sea for that.

    The end.

Too slow for my taste, diaga/banishga in Besieged wins, especially if you managed to still have a HP in Al Zahbi. (I did until a week ago when I fucked up. *sigh*) So you can just pull hate or purposely die from AoE and HP with full mp and meds.

Not to mention Besiege mobs' actual levels are absurdly high so skillups come quick.

I only mention Phuabos for bard skills because in Besieged, spamming your songs on one mob or even hitting multiples with Horde Lullaby will probably get you killed right quick, which would just slow down the process as opposed to continually spamming threnody/lullaby/elegy on one mob with no worries about a thing. Hell, after a while, I've had Phuabos that were so loaded with non-aggressive hate, they stuck to me permanently. They wouldn't wander back to their spawn even if I wanted them to, and I had a pet Phuabo until I zoned. Or until someone Dia'd it and it proceeded to rape me.

    Healing? WTF?

    Find a nice VT-IT non-aggro mob.

Spam Cure on them for piles of 0's...and skillups. I pretty much capped healing as RDM just walking down to the Marids outside of Al Zahbi and tossing Cure on them all day. Problem solved.

Enhancing, I'd definitely go with Besieged. Buff every NPC in the place as you go, though I try to actually be helpful and Haste things rather than Protect/Shell (it'll work though, though I think if the effect's a lower Pro/Shell, it may not.).

Wow, that actually works? Maybe I'll try that since I'm 13 levels from cap on healing.

Yea, I wasn't sure if curing for 0 worked or not. Guess I'll go skill my PLD with that plan.

Heard this didn't work anymore or was nerfed a bit.

You can skill off NPC fellows, but this only works to a point since I think NPC fellows are level capped at 65?

I was able to cap my healing (54WHM) spam curing a friend's lvl 58ish NPC fellow. Didn't know it until he said his NPC was near death and I got a .5 on the first cure.

lol, yeah.. I got a healing skillup from casting cure on AV during one of our attempts, so I just kept doing it and continued to get a lot of skill. Note that this wasn't while actually trying to fight it.

As for pro/shell, does protecting someone who already has it (with something of the same tier to overwrite, i.e. pro 1 > pro 1, pro V > pro V, etc.) get you skillups? I recall casting protect on myself a lot once and not really getting anywhere. I did get a skillup after cancelling protect on myself, but that may have been a coincidence.

The enhancing spell has to land (read: not have 'no effect') in order to get any skill. So, you have to move on to a different Volunteer or something once someone has casted a higher tier pro/shell on them, rendering your Protect 1 spells useless.

The thing is, besieged mobs are significantly higher level than VT/IT mobs so they provide much faster and larger skillups than most mobs you can find in the wild and can safely sit there and spam spells on. Cure 1 spam on General Raugiadeen (sp) is the fastest way to cap healing, I'm pretty damn sure.

And of course, if your HP is in Al Zahbi, that's a key reason why Besieged is best.
