Dream Theater- Metropolis Pt. 1 The miracle & the sleeper
I know this is songs, but I'm just going to list bands.
My favorite songs are mostly by Tool. I don't really have a "favorite" but a lot of their songs are really good. I like Disturbed as well and w/e else really comes on the radio stations that I listen to.
Post 1000!
Nine Inch Nails - Burn
Chimaira - Pass Out of Existence
Celldweller - The Last Firstborn
Machinehead - Wipe The Tears
My preference in music is fairly wide, despite the fact the above four tracks share a lot of similarities. They're all fast paced and aggressive tracks.
I stopped reading right there. You've pretty much won the thread.Originally Posted by Darkmessenger

It's so hard to come up with a favorite...so I'm making a top 6 list, and that's pushing it by a lot. T__T I just love music because it brings memories back while it's playing.
Not in any particular order:
1. "Lucha de Gigantes" by Nacha Pop: This song was featured in the Mexican movie "Amores Perros", in a scene where some girl cheats on her husband with her husband's brother (who is one of the protagonists) and they have hot sex on a washing machine. But anyway...the most powerful part of the song and the reason I love it so much, is that towards the end the song says: "Deja que pasemos, sin miedo", or loosely translated "Let us go on, without fear".
2. "Crash Into Me" by DMB adur =P : This song is filled with allegories and metaphoric romantic stuff which is great for the romantically challenged like me. Of course, it aids in my denial that I will never be romantic, but in fact I am. =(
3. "Las Flores (MTV Unplugged)" by Cafe Tacuba: This is already one of their best songs, and it was even better in their Unplugged show. In the song they featured a violinist from a mariachi, and merged "Las Flores" to the song played and sang by this guy along with Cafe Tacuba's vocalist. This is the perfect example of the mixture of music Cafe Tacuba is so fond of: ska/funky/Mexicanish style. The mariachi touch was the cherry on top of the wonderful cake.
4. "Peligroso Pop" by Plastilina Mosh: This song is made of win for its upbeatness, and the effect it has on me, often making me want to swim at the beach drunk with a white top... But the bigger reason I like this song is because of a peculiar story that goes along with it...hohohoho! A couple of years ago, I went to Cancun with my cousin, and on the way back (it was a Friday), we flew from Cancun to Houston, and then to Denver. While my cousin and I were hanging out at the Houston airport, we were listening to this song, and I look around...and what I find is none other than the members of this band!!!! Needless to say, I shyly approached and asked for an autograph. It turns out that they were on our same flight and after socializing, I found out they were going to give a concert in Denver the following day. I ended up getting in the concert for free. Winnah!
5. "Juicy" by Notorious B.I.G.: The reason I love this song it's because it compiles all the memories I have of high school. The classes, the parties, the alcohol, the weed, the people, our gay as hell senior shirt...
And I can't leave out the flavor of the month:
6. "Le Disko" by Shiny Toy Guns: Funky weird song that just penetrated my brain. It talks about walking all over men in a rough, intimidating, sexy way, hehehehe. It gives me a sense of power...lol.
