    http://www.kentuckyfriedcruelty.com/anderson-vid.asp

WOW...I'm never going to eat in that place ever again. I saw this on another board I visit frequently and wanted to post it here.

    If I wasn't one of those people who can eat shitloads of fast food and not turn into a blimp, I'd totally stop eating KFC. But it's too fucking good. ;_;

KFC made me sick to my stomach. Not to mention that most of the time I'd rather eat delicious beef or delicioius sea food than delicious chicken. I wouldn't consider KFC's chicken delicious anyway.

I've been to KFC a whooping total of 2 times. =D

Though it hasn't been proved, scientists have observed chemical reactions on plants that could resemble "pain". So, in theory, they are just as cruel to plants as to animals. Plants have the ability to minimize threats to their life which could be interpreted as the functional equivalent of pain in animals. Except the plant just can't scream.

Some of this information sometimes makes me believe that the fact plants don't possess a nervous system or brain doesn't mean they can't feel pain. But, there's no reputable research done yet.

HOWEVER, that shouldn't suggest treating animals with cruelty should be looked over, because be it animal or plant, both are life forms, and if you are taking their life away, at least let them go with "dignity" I say.

    Me, I'm partial to fish.

KFC really isn't all that good. Fried chicken is easy to make, I can do better by far at home. If I'm going for fast food, I'd rather a Sonic steakburger or maybe some Taco Bell.

For what it's worth, the facility that is shown in that video actually supplies more chicken to McDonalds and Wendy's than it does to KFC. It is not a KFC facility. I would suggest reading this response from the KFC president:

    http://www.kfc.com/about/pressreleases/072104.asp

(I'm not a huge KFC fan myself, but I absolutely despise PETA)

    Edit:

Pilgrim's Pride is one of our many suppliers, and we are just one of many fast food companies that buy from this Moorefield, West Virginia facility. In fact, we only buy 15% of all the product this facility produces - our other fast food competitors buy the other 85%.

So why did PETA single us out? Why did they mischaracterize this Pilgrim's Pride facility as a "KFC facility?" Why did they attempt to make it look like we raise and process chickens, when they know we do not?

We think it's outrageous that PETA is unfairly singling out KFC. They've done this because we're the most recognized brand selling chicken today, and our name, Kentucky Fried Chicken, is synonymous with chicken. So we have become their target. The truth is, we sell about 5% of all the chicken in America today -- that's less than the leading burger chain. But because our brand stands for chicken, they've targeted their campaign on us.
What's more, PETA not only distorts the truth, they have harassed our executives and engaged in a campaign of harassment, invasion of privacy and what I'd call "corporate terrorism."

Bruce Friedrich, PETA's vegan campaign director, publicly said "all fast food establishments should be bombed, and he would say 'Hallelujah' to anyone who did this.

That same person was arrested and convicted for criminal trespass at the home of a Senior Executive at Yum! Brands on Christmas Eve, and that's not the first time PETA has invaded our privacy at our homes, church, at work, and with our families, our neighbors and their children.

According to the FBI, PETA funded the legal defense of an animal liberation front arsonist who was convicted of torching a Michigan State research lab.

This is not your warm and fuzzy animal rights group. This pressure through intimidation, harassment and invasion of privacy should not be tolerated. It is nothing short of "corporate terrorism."

    http://www.fishinghurts.com/index.asp !!!

peta does nothing but cover the worst of the worst places to get people to become vegetarians, praying on peoples emotions and moral senses to get others to join their cause.

(from a "faq" on that website)

    "Didn’t Jesus eat fish?

It’s an interesting question, but Biblical scholars agree that the appropriate question for Christians is, “What should we be eating?” The Bible clearly says that our bodies are temples and that we should take care of them. Yet it’s a fact that all fish flesh today is contaminated with heavy metals and other toxins. In fact, fish flesh is just about the most polluted thing that humans put into their bodies. On that basis alone, Christians should not be eating it.

Today’s fishing practices are also horribly cruel to God’s creatures. God cares for all His creatures, and the Bible counsels compassion for all beings. We all understand that it is immoral and contrary to Christian mercy to torture dogs and cats. It is equally unchristian to torture and kill (or pay others to torture and kill) fish and other animals. Although they may not be able to scream out in pain, fish have the same capacity for suffering and the same right to compassion as all living beings."

They totally skirt the question, then making it seem like you're a bad person if you eat fish cause "you don't have too". Dont even get me started on the "faqs" on their main website.

some people eat meat, some people eat veggies, others eat both... get over it PETA

Sure, it's horrible. But guess what, cows and other animals often go through the same thing.

The very demand of KFC, and other places like it, cause the mistreatment of animals. The production has to be done quick and efficiently, thus not all animals get hooked up to an I.V. and receiving a painless dose of sedative and poison to humanely kill it.

A farmer kills a chicken by snapping the neck of a chicken by slamming it against an edge of a table. Or, they bleed it by slitting it's throat or simply just cutting the head off while it's a live.

Mass production is basically the above multiplied by the demand set by the consumer. How should it be done humanely? Don't be fooled by peta, they'd only be happy with the shutdown of kfc and all other slaughter house companies and fast food restaurants. Research peta and you'll find their agenda to be a little more than just being "humane". Anyway, trying to stay away from divulging my full opinion so I'll just stop there.

And now for a video to bring light on "how to humanely kill livestock" courtesy of the guys from South Park:

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dgRHSwpJrZE

Basically, in the end, livestock is produced for food. And yes, we as a country demand a lot of it.. and fast.

I saw an article somewhere that explained how increased vegetarianism has shown an increase in field animal deaths. More wheat = more fields under the thresher/combine = more bunnies and other cute field animals DEAD.

There's no winning for you Vegetarians, so join the winning team...us meat eaters. :D

Sure, it's horrible. But guess what, cows and other animals often go through the same thing.
Cows are lead into a room where there is a spout (like the kind a hamster in a cage would drink water from), and when they start drinking a spike shoots out through their brain.

I'm not going to side with anyone really, I eat whatever tastes good and is fairly healthy. Lots of salad and chicken fillets (not KFC or fried), but it is part of being in a food chain...whatever you eat has to stop living.

What amuses more than anything is the fact that these vegan dipshits forget about the e-coli outbreaks that have been affecting, you guessed it, vegetables. WHERE IS YOUR GOD NOW, FUCKERS?
