For the most part, PETA's got it's shit all mixed up. They care for the individual rather than the species. Sure, it's in the name, People for the ETHICAL Treatment of Animals, but our concerns should extend further than how those animals are treated to what those farms are doing to our biodiversity.
Example: PETA fought an organization that wanted to exterminate non-native pigs who threatened endangered, native plants, all in the name of ethics. Fuck that, what's more pressing of an issue is the decline of biodiversity on this planet, not fucking pigs and their feelings.
Now I'm a vegetarian and I don't get up on a high horse or a soapbox, I think nearly all ppl, vegetarian and omnivores, should really look at their diets and fix them.
