with a bst im sure it can be duo'd but only worries would be
    i) Large eye- likes to spam -ga, both Fire and Petrify and with a duo this could kill you.
II) time constraint- 15 minutes can go by pretty quickly and if you do go with a bst they usually like to wait 2 minutes to cool down Jug timers a bit, so I dont know.

If you can duo it great, but personally ill stick to trioing it.

As a bst I've never lost a carrie while doing this BC as long as I have biscuits.

Carrie will outrun the eyes while they are casting long spells, you run carrie to the bottom, Give carrie a stay command, reward carrie, then run back up.

The eyes will get one bind/petro off at the start that both the kiter and the ninja should be out of range for. After that, when they reach the bottom they will interrupt themselves by moving just a little right when they start casting 9 out of 10 times. You start running back up right after rewarding carrie, and after you're out of aggro range you heel again. Carrie will usually outrun a bind/petro if you do it right and you can just repeat this again at the top and kite for a pretty long time.

definitely duo'able as 1 bst, 1 nin... just a factor of time is the only thing you're up against.

There's enough time if the nin subs rdm. Takes about 12 minutes when I use to duo this. Bring a hi pot tank and a few au laits, yag drinks and melon pies if you want and use accordingly. You'll probably need at most one hi pot and au lait.

After the 2 small ones were dead, the BST or SMN would help fight the big one and we'd run in opposite directions during a breakga. If only one or the other gets petrified it should be cake.

why the fuck would you want to duo it when you can trio it:
    a-it goes faster
b-you need to go back to jeuno every 3 runs instead of 2
c-you dont need to make posts about how to duo it

If your husband/wife plays with you, you don't have to worry about the BS of splitting the drops with a 3rd person.

We've got plenty of ingame friends, but that still requires scheduling and making sure that person doesn't have an event and having 3 people get capped gear for a BC. It's easier not to bother, though we'll probably still do it trio just because there's more security in 3 people doing it than 2.

    wow talk about making excuses...

2 ppl getting gear for 40 cap is easy, but gear for a 3rd is OMGWTFBBQ.
    And scheduling ??

Capped gear for a BC? I do UO naked as 40nin, I just bring tools...never had a problem...

So it's your preference to do it with 3 naked people and it's someone else's to do it with 2 people who are probably well geared. No need to get a sandy vag over it.

It's your preference to complain about being unable to find a 3rd person who can get well geared when you can just get anyone who has a clue and 40nin and does it completely naked? Who has the sandy vag?

It's cheaper and far more efficient with 3 people. And money is the main reason for doing BC's...right?

It's more efficient to do Jorm with 18, but that doesn't mean it's not fun to do it with 12 and 6.

If someone did Jorm with 40 people when you can do it with 18, you say they are zerging it. When someone does UO with 3 when you could do it with 2 (and keep larger portions of the loot) you call them efficient.

Jorm yields the same loot if you kill with 6 or 40.

With UO with less people you do less runs. And on top of that less people need to spend more on gear and consumable items, making it less efficient because it's a higher cost per attempt.

Just because you do it with 2 means nothing about "larger portions of the loot" because you have *less portions*

if you are bringing a third person, would you not be doing a 3rd run of the BC as well?

so in essence your droprate(and loot division) would be no different.

Its still 1 run per person usually?

Because sitting down in the same room with my fiance, running to the BC with 2 orbs and taking what drops shouldn't take more than an hour. Most times having a friend/LS member get/buy their 40cap gear, get their orb, etc you're already at an hour just waiting for the third person to be ready. Also 2 12-13 minute runs are going to take less time than 3 9-10 minute runs if you want to talk about run times.

It's also nice to be able to say instructions back and forth without Vent or lag or garbled mic connections and, again, being able to duo 2 runs whenever we're interested and be done with it in an hour or less. I know it works with 3 and I know it's more efficient gil-wise per run with 3 but if it can be done well enough with 2 we're more than willing to shoulder the extra risk to make things simpler.

It takes me 30s to get my 40 cap gear. I go into my mog locker, take out all my ninja tools and then see if I have any gear my 40nin can use. If not, it doesn't matter.

And majority of my 3-man runs are 7-8min and I have yet to go with a nin that kills faster than me (considering I'm naked, that'll tell you the quality of ninja I go with).

And yeah, no yagudo drinks necessary...

yeah, but what if you want to do two runs ?? (and by the way, it doesnt take 9-10 minutes with 3 ppl, unless you get unlucky with breakgas, takes like 7)

Assuming 20 minutes travel time to get from whitegate (assuming you HP there) to jeuno to horlais, assuming 2 minute prep before first run, and assuming 5 minute prep between runs.
    2 people:
    20 + 2 + 13 + 5 + 13 + 20 + 2 + 13 + 5 + 13 = 106
    3 people:
    20 + 2 + 7 + 5 + 7 + 5 + 7 + 20 + 2 + 7 + 5 + 7 + 5 + 7 = 106
