The fight is easy provided your people maintain composure, because the fight is totally predictable and when you face the dangerous things is totally in your control. Even if some freak accident occurs and you lose a tank, it is no grounds for a loss, keeping one tank alive until the other is back in the hate game should become everyone's first priority. When you face a flair or a summon is entirely up to you, and you shouldnt be pushing him down unless you are ready anyway.

We go in with 3rdm, atleast 2 of which are /drk for vrtra and jorm. Full setup is PLDx2 WHMx2 RDM BRD, BLMx9 THF RDM RDM, and our current record is 23 minutes. As for elemental skill, I nuke B2 with about 325 elemental skill and a mixture of INT and -emnity otherwise, and do very well for myself. I wish I had AF2 hat, but otherwise wouldnt change anything really.

Out of curiosity, which model do Bahamut's Hose use? I know the icons aren't much of a basis for anything, but insofar as I can tell they look like the regular old level 36 stuff.

Yeah they look really basic. With dune boots on I look horrific.

They look like #1 (Crow) then? Weird, the icon used is for the regular ones (#2, Regular Hose).

Probably could, but Rampart is so broken good, why do anything else?

My LS has always been using RDM/NIN on Bahamut. Unfortunately I never been to a fight, since I don't have any useful job leveled (We aren't using NIN on Baha) so I can't tell how the RDM performs, but I think tanking Bahamut and holding hate was/is never an issue.

Aye, as far as i know on Siren, NA-wise, 2 LSs have beaten it, one only once. And the one that has beaten it multiple times disbanded are reformed in the last few months because their main tank/leader quit (Georgethepimp). That's why I've made this guide, because i want more people to be able to beat this, as bahamut's mask is imo better than Aegishjalmer.

Sorry but this caught my eye, who is the other LS that has won once? Just curious, I've been out of the loop, and I'd assume someone would win this since the PLD update, but wasn't sure who would first. Kinda miss Siren...but I look back and realize all that's been added is a set of armor that is still only situationally better than current gear (little biased because Im WAR) makes me really realize I would just be doing the same old thing anyway.

I just figured i wouldnt cut and paste it all here since im not in the LS nor the author, but heres some of it so you dont think its a virus.. (sorry post count 1, been trolling for awhile lol)

Basic Setup and Planning

NIN/WAR COR/NIN BRD/WHM
BRD/NIN RDM/DRK RDM/DRK
RDM/NIN BLM/WHM BLM/WHM

WHM/NIN BLM/WHM BLM/WHM
WHM/NIN THF/DRK BLM/RDM

The damage setup is almost exactly what you would expect in any typical Bahamut Version 2 setup - heavy on BLMs with a THF/DRK to stun and provide Treasure Hunter. We threw in a COR to test out how effective Warlock's roll would be on resist rates. The main thing that differs between setups is usually the tanking party - this can vary greatly depending on style and preference. For these 3 fights, we opted for NIN/WAR (Demetrius). I'll get more into the tanking setup later.

As far as medicines were considered, we brought the typical Reraise Hairpins and Poison Potions (for Vrtra). Other than that, nothing special like ethers or hi pots. I think we came a bit overprepared as far as Meds were concerned as we really didn't need those potion pots in my opinion.

Prior to entering, we had to get a couple members access by doing Bahamut Version 1, which turned out to be extremely beneficial as far as experience is concerned. Because Bahamut himself changes very little between the 2 fights, it gave everyone a good oppurtunity to get a feel for the fight to come. There were really a lot of unknowns for us to start so doing this fight before-hand really helped.

2 pld/nin, 2 rdm/drk, 1thf/drk, 2 whm, 3 brd, 8 blms(3 whm and 7 blms normally), our regular time is 21 minute - 23 minute (no 2hr involved). Caitsith Bahamut v.2 record was held by ducknofparadise JP LS 17 minute.(they used 2 hour). The best we could get was 21 minute because the brd went afk 3 minute outside and so we waited. We killed everything including all 4 pets for better drops. We do have one relic horn but normally he is not online for the fight =|. One of the paladin have shadow ring but only proc 2x most of the time. We got flailed sometimes too, but we still get around 23 minute, recover is easy if you have everyone use rr pins or gorget. Getting to the BC is our biggest problem, because we suck at stealth. Blm heavy is the way to go, if you have smn instead of blm the fight will be pushed back to 30~40 minute.

We speculated by killing wyvern pets: Tiamat, Vrtra, Ouryu and Jormugand, we will at least get one unique drop from them.

edit: i know some LS that didn't kill the last pet and just kill Bahamut for the record, but they still can't beat our record.

I don't see how that can be true, You see LSs killing all the Wyrms sometimes and getting nothing but the 100% drops, no synths etc.

Validus beat it once.. sorry for the late responce. I think Ekeis tanked it for them, but since he left VD over something w/ a Vivan ring, not sure how they can do it now. From what i hear their new tanks aren't too experianced with a lot.

3 Bahamut masks, 3 Cashmere Cloths, and a spattering of other good drops. Thief is essential to this BC, dont bother going without one, but I highly doubt its to do with killing Wyrms.

So how do you guys all tank this (equip wise) fire resist? MDB/-%magic? HP? Trying to figure out a good setup for it.
