IQ has nothing to do with these type of problems. Most people assume they know how to think when they really don't know how to analyze or think critically and even if they do they are too lazy to put the effort into doing it.

similiarly, my first post was going to reply to kuya's post and say that i'd say to take an iq test and come back so i can laugh, but then someone would flame me over the validity of such a test. i guess you argue if you see the chance, so that's expected...or is it that you've taken one and scored a big fat 83?

I don't think it is possible to get an 83 on an online IQ test. All the ones I looked at go above and beyond to inflate your scores and make you feel good about yourself so you will show other people their test and it becomes popular.

The only way an IQ test is valid is to do a full psychiatric evaluation which isn't cheap.

The irony is that people will talk about IQ without even knowing what it means or how it applies to anything they are talking about.
