This is wild speculation, but I'm thinking maybe when Ellen gets back to the fleet she'll help reinvent resurrection(or re-reinvent, heh) and off the other four so they can remember everything and Sam won't be brain-dead.

but then Tigh wont be a motherfucking pirate, also itd be hard to explain why new Sam is bald too
One thing I've been mulling over that was unclear. What happened to Earth? It sounded like the population was all skinjobs and centurions without the humans(contemporary to the time) even knowing where to find them, so who attacked? Did the centurions rebel? It didn't sound like they would since Anders said the human models adopted their monotheistic religion from the centurions. Did I miss a key piece of dialogue or was that part left unclear?
If they were all cylons and nuclear holocaust happened, easiest explanation would be that they had a civil war.
They were human versions of cylons who eventually made their own AI, and made the same mistakes humans keep making and got wiped out. Those 5 started their journey to the 12 colonies to warn them, but were too late by the time they got there.
The big problem I have thus far is: If they die and resurect at those age/bodies, why the fuck was Tigh resurected as a young version, and the others sent back years later by the 1 cylon.
If John could alter their new bodies enough to block and implant memories he could probably make Tigh a young body as well. John chose to introduce the 5 when he did so they would, as he said "have front row seats to a holocaust."
This raised a question for me. When Ellen referred to John as "the boy I loved," did she mean that literally? When they first made the 8 models were they physically children?
I've just assumed the destruction of Earth was caused by Starbuck & he viper somehow. I'm not sure if she was armed with nukes when she disappeared, but the memory flashes from the Chief & Tigh distinctly saw them look to the sky when they remembered what happened when they were on Earth. Plus, it fits with the prophecy the hybrid said of her when you tie it in with "this has all happened before" etc.
But you haven't missed anything; it's been left unclear.
Somehow I think Baltar and Strarbucks fates are related. And that Starbuck might somehow turn out to be one of the goddesses.
There's supposed to be a piano player in the last few episodes and I think Kara said her father played the piano a while back. But the character is supposed to be about the same age as her so I'm probably wrong.
I also think it's interesting that there's 13 cylon models and 13 colonies.
Ellen is such a bitch at least next week will pick things up.
So, anders woke up. Time to see the WTFPWN moments of the series.
I didn't like this episode at all. I always disliked Ellen, and now I dislike her even more. Also, the Baltar's harem scenes were just grating. SighI hope it's better next week, I want more Starbuck history stuff. All we're getting of her is a reminder she still exists and is still bitter as hell (understandably).
This episode was mainly about the hope of both sides. The baby was the cylon's hope and the battlestar is slowly breaking down? More of a slow development episode really.
was great.
Ellens story was disappointing in this episode. When she got resurrected she seemed really smart and a better person overall and I really enjoyed it. Now it just seems she's the same old petty harlot.
Tory has been getting more and more annoying ever since she found out she was one of the final five.
It was an okay episode, just bad compared to the ones we've seen so far this year.
I think thats part of the point, that the final 5 aren't these perfect beings, they are as fucked up and dysfunctional as everybody else.
I want to know the motive behind Tyrole's desire to leave. He always seemed the most down to earth of the 5, and balanced his Cylon/Human persona the best. He seems to be the only 5 truely comfortable with what he is, a Cylon who is part of Human society. I figured he'd be the figurehead of the "mixed ship" movement, but it seems like they're just using him as a convenient vote with Tory.
I was surprised as well with Tyrol's vote. However, I don't think he has any ties anymore to human society, especially now that he knows Nicky is not his child. I think Adama's two-faced attitude about Cylons working on Galatica (even though he eventually acquiesced) also drove a further division in Tyrol's mind between himself and the humans.
I don't think its so much Adama being two-faced as it being a safe strategy, I mean from his perspective he can trust Tyrol/Tigh but he doesnt know if the greater cylon alliance will fall through.
