I dont really care where they take shit, as long as it ends up being definitive and not up in the air. Although I do hope they find some larger reason for Cavil starting the second genocide outside of the fact that he has an Oedipal crush on his mom.

Not the cylon civil war, I meant the attack that killed all but 50,000 humans. In that episode where Daniel is introduced the only reason they give is that Cavil wanted to show his mommy(Ellen) and the other 4 final cylons they were wrong about everything. Someone posted a link when that episode aired that said it better but essentially its weaksauce to make Cavil's mommy issues/vendetta towards the final 5 the driving force for why the Cylon's destroyed humanity, it doesn't feel big enough.

Although, I guess it could be argued that by making his reasons so petty and stupid, they may be making a larger comment on humanity's own petty nature?

I'm just confused why you called it the second genocide? Are you referring to Earth as the first?
