Yeh, it was. That was probably one of my favourite episodes yet.
I'll probably buy that boxset. Because of the huge gap between series, I tend to forget whats happened so far.

i mean there are a couple weak eps from season 3, namely for me, 'the woman king' and 'a day in the life,'(to which rod. d. moore concurred... if you dont listen to his podcasts, you're really missing out) but for the most part, the entire 20 ep. arc just has me having a huge nerd boner for season 4.

April 4th, wheee...little bit late, if I recall right. Final episode of Season 3 mentioned January...
Hoping this last season doesn't have as much filler as Season 3 did. Season 3 was great in the first and last episodes, but the midseason was painful to sit through to keep up with the story.
i hate to be nitpicky, but it's 'get ready for some chop' :D
nonetheless, i think we are all together in our embracing of /geek for april 4th :D
Thank you, for a second there I had forgotten why I loved this show (long breaks do that to me). I just need to take the month of March and rewatch everything so I'm ready for the last season.Originally Posted by Venture
Just picked up Season 3 DVD set on it's release date, playing catchup and waiting until April 4th, have some questions bugging me; How was #3 allowed to see who the 5 last Cylons were, when the conciousness of the basestar was stating "chosen one" (starbuck right?) then when she does see who they are she dies, possibly because, "to see god itself is to see madness," and these last 5 cylons are some form of diety/ies?
Also, I find it interesting that as #3's line gets shut down indefinitely, he states she as a model was fundamentally flawed, I find this very interesting because the creators of BGS state that the last 5 Cylons are "fundamentally different."
Also, that beacon that infects the cylons and basically rapidly kills them off, I hear Adama state it was left behind from a mission somewhere(?) but then they say it dates back like 3000 years and was left by people from 13th colony. So I'm to assume the people amongst them(13th colony) know about the cylons too and knew how to combat them (in the past?) or this was something that was purely random and this beacon infecting those cylons wasnt part of a bigger plan (I doubt this tho). Also the message Baltar hears coming from the beacon, yet he ignores it/fails to tell the cylons about it when he gets back.
lots of confusion on these 2 things and that's it for now.
It is suggested that the "master plan" (whose plan no one knows) is orchastrated by a higher order (the final 5? lolgod? mater cyclon?) and even the other cylon models do not know about it. My opinion is that after the cyclons moved away from the colonies they rapidly began to evolve techinilogically and discovered some of the ancient ruins leading back to earth. Along side this they also discovered some secrets (yet to be revealed, possibly that the cyclon/human conflict is a reiterating and selfcreating system fueled by who knows, and thus keeps repeating. Upon finding this out they cyclons orchastrate a covert mastermind plan to make all this happen, instituting the final 5 as human interfaces to "push" humanity in the direction the cyclons saw fit. The reasoning/motivation for all this remains unknown.Originally Posted by Koyangi
It was left behind by the original colonies when they first left cobalt. It was not a weapon, but had some base bacteria that humans had evolved an immunity for, but cyclons had not.Originally Posted by Koyangi

Just finished watching the first 3 seasons (over this past couple weeks) just in time for the season premiere tomorrowLooking forward to it. Are the webisodes worth watching?
I watched the first season of this, then kinda stopped and couldn't get back into it since the plot keeps moving forward. Since they put up that awesomely nice summary on the official site, though, I feel brave (and intrigued) enough to try to get back into it.
PS. Leoben and Starbuck... mmmm!
I've been anticipating this upcoming season. I'm so excited for tomorrow.Originally Posted by evilbau

i didn't care for the razor webisodes, but the resistance webisodes(ie, the ones prior to season3) are amazing, and give a wealth of backstory into the actions of many of the central characters during the occupation, namely jammer and duck.Originally Posted by evilbau

Looks like the first hour is recap and a celebration kinda episode, and then the new season starts right after that.

10pm needs to come sooner!
Already started for me on west coast.
Fucking awesome episode, but screw the cliffhanger ending with a very large object that possibly has a pointed end.
