If you're gonna bitch about paying 5 bucks so you'll be able to play a nintendo classic on your TV, with the awesome classic controller, on the Wii, GTFO.

I know this reply is a bit late and I hate kind of siding with BRP, but I actually have my laptop setup thru my TV with a controller to play Emulated games on it.

In my case most of them aren't illegal, I own the original games, but my old SNES has been dead for ages. Obviously I have some translated games never released in America blah blah blah.

Regardless, I think VC is quite cool. Dropping a few bucks for classic games on your console is really cool. It's taking what people started with the older modded XBOXs and making it legal and cheap, which as iTunes has shown, can perform very well.

This is already worth it. Even without the games, it's worth the money just to get roms this quick and easy. Especially for Turbo Grafix 16, a slightly obscure system I grew up loving.

Your also neglecting all the turbo grafx 16 games that were bad ass that not everyone was able to play. R-Type was far superior on the tg16 compared to any other system. Alien Crush was probably the best console pinball game ever. Wander's from Y's was an incredibly challenging action rpg that I can probably safely say 99% of you never played cause only y's 3 came out on the snes and was buggy as shit as well as had a stupid ramped up difficulty over the tg16 cd rom version.

As it is, LttP will be the first game i've downloaded on the vc. Unlike you BRP, i'm a firm believer of if the product is quality, i will pay for it. I worked 3 years in the game industry doing support and testing, and I know how damn hard those people had to work, cranking out 60-70 hr work weeks to finish a game that they would hope everyone would enjoy, and to just emulate it and pirate it is just a huge slap in there face.

i have never been huge on downloading roms but the ones i did download had horrible controls and were annoying to play on my computer. i think VC will be a good thing for people who dont have their old consols and still want to play those old games on a consol rather than their computer or laptop.

Also out of curiosity where did you work? what game company did you work for?

I don't think anyone mentioned Starfox 64 in the games they can't wait for on VC (unless it's already out, wee for being behind the times a bit), personally it was one of my favorite games on N64 along with the usual suspects like Goldeneye, Perfect Dark, etc.

Also to naysayers of the VC: it will work, based on the same logic that the iTunes store works. It's not that expensive, it's convenient, and it's legal.

i dont think i will download games that i already owned on other systems except maybe the NES and sega genesis games. but if i really want to play the n64 games ill just bust out my n64.

the NES and genesis are in storage somewhere i am not sure so it would be nice to get some of those games back.

Link to the Past was and still is a great game, but the degree of people going nuts over the repackaging of age-old is ridiculous.

Its a clever marketing idea by Nintendo. I guess it would appeal to those who don't have a SNES or N64 allready.

But using the term "Graphics upgrade" and "Wii" in the same sentence is rather amusing, even when you're talking about N64 games.

I am sure there will be a big market for Nintendo to steal peoples money with these VC games.

I dont know why Nintendo is giving different countrys different titles. JP has some good titles out atm.

I cant wait for some of these future releases. Mario Kart 64 and Smash Bros, imagine if there was online play ;Q Mario RPG ftw too.

Well, not everyone is as "tech-savvy" as the people on this board. Remember, you aren't the only ones buying the system. What about the grandparents who don't know jack about emulators? What about the people who morally wouldn't use something illegal? This is just one of the legal means of playing games that came out over 10-20 years ago. If you can find the original cart, by all means play your heart out. Personally, I don't mind rebuying the game I have fond childhood memories with. Hell, I've discovered some games that I didn't play when I was little. (Gunstar Heroes) As stated before, it is a matter of preference. There's no need to argue over who's right or who's wrong. Enjoy what's out there. BTW, Super Mario World is semi-confirmed before the end of the month per Nintendo Power. Also, Comix Zone kicks ass.

But I still believe that good oldies are worth the money. Just because a cow is old doesn't mean you can't milk it. At least they are not like Sony, Valkyrie Profile for PSP is sold at a new game's price for a 7 year old game. A gimped version none the less!

In some roundabout way I'm sure they do... I mean VC titles are income and its a small enough company (compare to GE for example, with so many different 'mini companies') that you can pretty much say money coming in one way is used for any other expenditure.

I maybe wrong but I'm pretty sure SquareEnix made that game and not Sony. Just because its on Sony console doesn't mean you can blame them for EVERYTHING. Also considering VP1 is a very rare games and goes for $150+ on ebay $30 for a portable version is a great deal.
