Relic crit dude.
Relic crit dude.
Wow lol. That's hot.
I'd be rather surprised if Aurik was anything other than a meat eating Mnk/Nin for that parse.
The amount of times I counted those Colibri Snatch Morsel'd the poor MNK, I wonder how you could stand even trying food XD
Not to mention the flame fest of comparing /NIN with /WAR + etc.Originally Posted by TsingTao
I don't merit on meleeSMN without a bard in the party.
The acc% does indicate meat, but look at the pt setup: mnk nin thf brd <healer> <healer>. I dunno about you, but I wouldn't bother with a second healer if all three DDs had shadows (especially as the DDs are nin, thf, and mnk- 3 classes that really excel at blinktanking). Also note the counter rate.Originally Posted by TsingTao
If non-relic melee are going to be considered sub-par we better stop mpking gilsellers.
Clearly a bard with Gjallarhorn would insist that all the melees have Relic weapons too.
Not sure what he'ld demand of his/her mages though.
Actually, I figured Wafik would be /WAR with Aurik and Krandor tanking /NIN. From what I've read Wafik doesn't like NIN all that much compared to /WAR. TA WS on Krandor at will for a bit of help on hate vs. Aurik's MNK then SA WS at will even without shadows.Originally Posted by Beckwin
Besides, even with three support I wouldn't want to deal with Counterstanced Pecking Fury that often. At least not if I was going for ultra long chains. Not when you could cruise along indefinitely as /NIN...they don't really need the extra damage output after all.
Yay for guessing to kill the rest of my work day.
I was subbing war, as was Wafik, and popping meat mithkabobs (went through about 3 stacks) but berserk, +10 attack, and +5 base damage isn't going to be the difference between 30 avg and 71 (235%), or between 57 and 96 (168%).
You asked me to point out the sub-par melee in the party, and I did: the thf, the nin, and the mnk.
Well I stand partially corrected.

Dude you're right, that monk was gimp..
You are by no means the standard of a monk the moment you invest nearly a billion gil in a weapon.
Nobody said I'm the standard, I'm just illustrating how pathetically low 57 average dmg is.Originally Posted by Devek
mnk/nin getting min/march and using sushi/no food.... 57 doesn't sound too horrible. Also need to consider what debuffs were being applied, etc.
using no food = gimp, i rest my case.
