Nope I watched an Orc literaly run half way across its radius pattern and agro'd a CGF and then proceeded to kill atelast two more before walking back.

EDIT: I'm going to go see Doug Stanhope tonight in New Orleans, I'll do the tiger quest later if I get bored. I'll use them to cap my shield skill lulz.....

Both links are a disappointment. I would say that's far from a frenzy, hell I bet majority of the people in those threads are some folks that post/lurk here. I was really hoping for something a bit more juicy. Are times so bad that people are seriously trying to grasp at thin air? I demand entertainment! More screenshots/videos gogogogo! :O

You don't need a fishbot to detect monsters. Anybody with more than 5 hours of fishing experience and half a brain can tell if they've hooked a mob, an item, or an actual fish from the clues the game gives you.

Yes, I know those batallia fishers are botters.

Just pointing out that it's not some nefarious shenanigans on the part of the botwriters that allows them to avoid pulling up monsters. All the information is there for legitimate players as well. Nowadays any fisher worth his salt doesn't pull up monsters unless he wants to. It's that easy.

Couple of thousand, each. More to the Sandy smith guild. How I leveled up Smithing for a bit- sitting in Yughott, fishing up rusty caps/picks and synthing them. Had fun getting rid of a Sandy RMT group that tried to do the same thing, too...24/7, a much smaller version of this Batallia RMT wave.

It's an old trick, just used in a relatively new area on a large scale- just not abused much by till now because there was other more exploitable gil generators. Something tells me the buyers at the top (lolIGE) are getting antsy because the ground-level suppliers are getting cut out and cut off left and right...so they're resorting to open mass exploiting/botting to try and get what they need to stay in "business".

So if you want to fuck over RMT'ers, keep killing the fishbots. If you can catch their tradebot before he loads up, kill him too. If the botcrafter isn't /blockaided, Cure him till his synths autofail. Steal every light elemental you see- get a good alchemist to make you holy water or something, that's actually a profit and keeps the crystals out of the AH, where RMT'ers will buy em to fuel the de-rusty process.

If GMs/SE wanted to catch these bots red handed, wouldnt a chat log filled with "you cannot do that action while dead" message show they are playing afk?

Been a long time since I died and tried to do any action so I do not know the wording.

The gil needs to be bought before it is put into circulation. If the fees to enter these zones are too steep to be paid without automated gil-manufacturing happening, then SE should reconsider the fee amount.

They've adjusted chocobo fees and auction fees multiple times. I don't see why they couldn't (or shouldn't) adjust dynamis and limbus fees as well.

The reason gil farmers exist is because there are portions of the game that people are willing to pay to NOT play. People want relic weapons but not put the increadible effort and time into getting the coins, buy some gil. As for sushi, good for them, I sure as heck like using it and sure as heck have no desire to do the fishing for it.

10%+ of a server's pop being gilfarmers even after swinging the ban hammer to me indicates the problem is with the game. If people are that willing to buy gil or characters instead of actually playing the game, then the problem is there are portions of the game that are simply too frustrating or tedious and need to be addressed.
