Wonder if this would work on Bazaars too, specifically gilseller bazaars with things like Astral Signa and such.
Sure, some legit bazaars would be killed, but what's a few causalties eh?

Here's a way that may avoid detection:
Go as SMN, tag a digger, then lead it to the RMT and Shiva Sleepga it, and logout.
The log will only show Shiva's name, but will never mention yours.
If you're paranoid, you can even summon Shiva in some unconnected zone, then warp to Jeuno and head outside to do it so your name never even appears in the chat log at all for the entire zone or adjacent areas.
An additional tactic would be to have Shiva tag some other mob, lead it to a Digger then Sleepga (aimed at your other mob but so that the Digger is included in the AoE) and wait for it to wake up. Then, with both the Digger and your other mob following you, head to the RMT and Sleepga again (aimed at the other mob). Release Shiva and head for the zoneline.
When Shiva is released, the Digger de-aggros completely and will remain at the RMT. The other mob your Shiva tagged earlier will follow you when it wakes up, but that doesn't matter. You'll be to the zone before it ever catches you, anyway. Release doesn't show in the chat logs. Your name never appears in the chat logs anywhere in the zone. The Digger is only shown as "Goblin Digger receives the effect of Sleep" but is never the direct target of you or Shiva for any actions.
They may still have a way to tell that you were responsible, depending on the level of detail the GM logs have. But at least it's a lot less chance of detection than doing it as a BLM where your name appears directly in the chat log of yourself and all the RMT present.
Pretty sure Gilsellers Never call GMs, even though they always say GM when someone claims something else.
I went out to see the sights. 74 people in zone, about 4-5 were legit.

UH OH WHAT HAVE I DONE![]()
good job on the technique you describe khamsin, it's possible logs include the entry and exit of players in a zone, for extra deniability i'd suggest having another smn who can use the shiva ability zone in/out around the same time. if a pet is tagged with player specific markers this wouldn't help, but if a GM is working from only knowing that two smn went in and out and one of them happened to mpk some rmt, it might make their job harder.
the other smn should also have shiva out incidentally.
keep in mind everyone that this fishbotters will probably be killed off soon enough, and the gil they spread tracked across each server, so don't go getting yourself banned for mpk.
edit: aside from the tigers and goblin diggers, you can mpk with lumberjack (and once he's finished his killing spree get a bloodsword off him), ahtu is on the island and i'm not aware of any method other than pos hack to bring him to the fishbots.
Or, you could sic onto any goblin with carbuncle, then retreat. Link a digger, run over to the RMT, release. Your goblin despawns, digger deaggros then sees the bots and goes to work.Originally Posted by Khamsin

I'd get my bst, farm a few goblins, then put a pet on a gob (not the MPK kind) and heel it. THen train it around and link a digger. Run close to the MPK, drop the pet, run off a bit and kill your goblin. Since the digger had link aggro on the pet that is now gone, it will basically drop aggro and then hit the botters.
Midgard Batallia is relatively quiet by your standards... names which make some form of sense... even among the /anons. Mind you we have another subjobless alliance levelling up in Kazham the last few days - so they're all on their way back.
Get the digger to link on pet, then kill the original target. Drag over to the coast of China. Release pet. Watch with glee.Originally Posted by Nystul
Could work too, but you'd want to kill your gob after linking the digger. If you release carby with both the digger and your original gob on it, your gob will start beating on you and expose your name (or worse, link the digger on you once it deaggros, then relinks after seeing you with the gob).Originally Posted by aurik
Another caveat is your chat log will show gaining gil from killing the original gob... not that it might mean much, but at least you can claim the Shiva actions in your log were just you seeing someone else doing it. All the Shiva actions that occur near the RMT will appear the same in their log as in yours, aside from chat filter settings. You getting gil for killing the gob that the digger linked to can't be explained away.
Though I suppose you could always say you killed an unrelated gob for whatever reason, but the combined log of:
Carbuncle hits the Goblin Shaman for 168 damage
The Goblin Shaman misses Carbuncle
The Goblin Digger misses Carbuncle
Carbuncle defeats the Goblin Shaman
You find 26 gil on the Goblin Shaman
could be a red flag. Without the "You find 26 gil on the Goblin Shaman" there's nothing in any chat log that proves you had any connection.
When the GMs refer to "GM server side logs" they aren't referring to the chat log. The chat log is only a small fraction of what's available.Originally Posted by Khamsin
True, we can't help that our name is in the log for zoning in or out, or any number of other actions we may take. But we can help that our name is kept out of everyone's chat logs.Originally Posted by divisortheory

If you remove all instances of your name from everyone else's chat logs, and remove any indication in your own chat log that you did anything short of being within chat log range of an avatar that slept a gob, then you reduce your chances of being blamed no matter how you look at it.
A Orc is fine too, just look for the two-three who come close enough to the shore, dia, stand on RMT, pull cable.
Fuck trying to hide it. Killed about 10 of them. Would be alot better if the Goblin Digger would kill more than one person at a time; it just kills one person and then runs off.

Combine with shore dwelling Orcs for Massive damage.
If you CFH while a mob is doing an AoE will it kill them?
