OK... so I haven't been out there to observe this behavior yet, but I was wondering if they have a way to specifically target items while fishing?

Or do they just fish up whatever they can get and the rate of obtaining an item is relatively high in Batallia?

I'm curiously trying to gauge how potentially lucrative this operation could be.

well see, under the current fishing system after so many hours of fishing- rather after so many casts, you stop catching fish and only bring up items and rustys.

They are all using composite rods and rogue rigs. With that setup in that area not only do they get rusty items, but when JP midnight rolls through and resets their fishing fatigue they get sole and other fish.

We actually got them to leave by logging out, but they logged back on 10 minutes later and proceeded to get killed again. I should have taken more screenshots but I was too busy having so much fun.

They're in Batilla because you can only catch the following items:

Silver Ring
Mythril Sword
Rusty Greatsword
Rusty Pick

No useless buckets or other crap. All worthwhile stuff to synth/desynth, and Sole (as was stated) worth cooking in to Sushi when they're able to get actual fish.

Man this sucks. It should be so obvious that they are GS yet they are allowed to stay and fish all day because they pay 13 or $1 x 100ish per month.

Found out the other day that a lot (and I do mean a lot) of these fishbots actually have a sweaty Korean kid behind them.

time to call them KGFs?

Yeah I forgot to edit him out of that last screenshot. I dunno how he got all those NM tigers. Is it for a quest or something or have they always been there?

not as much fun on carbuncle, they got some high lvl toons out there to act as body guards i'd assume and they are raised almost immediately after dying

Think of the impact of taking their bodyguards off better NM camps to protect fisbots.... its still something at least.

Did this a few times last night and today by hiding the goblin digger in front of them. Max I was able to pull off was 4 kills before the gob went running back away from the shore. Going to try and get those tiger NMs on them later tonight.

Just to clarify some points.

With a fish bot you can catch any fish even with level 0 fishing(and instantly I might add).

Fishing fatigue kicks in after 200 fish caught and with the low bite rate of black sole, that can take all day.

I feel kind of good about this.. if this is the best way CGS can bring new gil in the economy that is a good sign. None of those bots can be making more than 100k/day.

When SE fixes this they will be stuck with something even less worthwhile.

times roughly 45 bots on my server fishing
