HDD Data failing in the middle of FFXI downlaod.

So i am putting ffxi on my laptop and the 1st step goes well(the 15xxx files)but after that, the "Downlaoding Files", when there r 2 bars, it stops at about 13% and says something about an error with the HDD Data ? Can anyone tell me wats going on? thanks :)

Maybe post a pic or something of the error message or write out wordy by word what it says

you're doing this without having windower up? (aka launching straight from pol.exe)

hate to ask this but, you have enough hdd space right?

This was happening to me.. some reason FFXI was messing with my external HDD while it was updating so I turned it off and all was good. :/

After just recently switching computers, I cannot even begin to emphasize how unnecessary reinstalling FFXI is on your second PC.

I did this and it worked without a hitch. Took about 10 minutes (9m55s of that was transferring the files off the external hard drive and onto my new machine).
