PS3 verson 1.5 Fixed PS1 and PS2 Games

Sony finally gets some good news, the crappy graphics on PS1 and PS2 games are fixed. Sony just got 10 more points and i'm little bit closer to spending my $500, now all they need is some games and i'm sold. I'm sure this thread will turn into another Sony slamfest so dont dissappoint me BG I need something to read during my long work day.

On another forum I go to this guy was saying he's been playing Resistance on PS3 and it's the best FPS game he's ever played before and this is just single-player. But I have no idea how online multiplayer is for it.

I played resistance multiplayer(vs 4 people) and I didn't think it was that great

Has he played GoW? Seriously, Resistance isn't bad but it has nothing on GoW...and this is coming from someone who rarely spends his time with a fps...people are still gonna buy an Xbox 360 if they want FPS games, especially with Halo 3 coming out in the future. FF13 will be the first real reason a lot of people have to buy a Ps3, and that's not even enough for me yet. I barely know anything about FF13 besides a few screenshots...

Quoted for the lulz. I bet if it dropped 20% here a lot more people (me included) would be more interested, although I still wouldn't buy it til it came out with a game I couldn't live without (that's been true for every system I've ever owned though

I don't how other FPS' are, I stick to TPS (Socom mainly) but the game is decent, very frustrating as it takes eons to fucking kill someone with a full clip. Impossible to shoot someone who's about 10 or so yards away and the radar giving away your position = gay. It's considered extremely good, because the most of the launch titles are utter trash and ports are poor (Madden 07)

<3 Gears of War. Play it late into the night when nothing is goin on in ffxi. But my ps3 jus keeps my pool table level. I'm waitin for one game to come out that makes it all worth it. Jus one game please.

And i dont play my old games as i cant sent the saves over to my ps3 so i jus keep playin them on my ps2. I dont wanna have to go buy the converter thingy so i can hook it up to my ps3. And as far as resistance. Bleh i hated it. Wasn't fun at all although i didn't play online.

Seriously, this small update was Huge

PS2 jaggies are clean now, so games can be seen thru Component HD/HDMI with the highest resolution without messing up the game. People just have to realize that, you can't make PS1 games look marvelous by putting them into the PS3, and think you will run them @ 60fps and 720p/1080i/1080p quality.

I own a PS3, have R:FOM (Resistance), the multiplayer is ridiculous.
I'm not gonna be the biggest fanboy of Sony and say this is the best FPS in the history of gaming. It has it features it is well at, some it isn't.

There are 2 game styles, Ranked & Custom (Unranked).
With-in Ranked game section there are 2 styles Free-For-All or Team.
You have Deathmatch, Team Deathmatch, Capture the Flag, Meltdown, Conversion, and Breach.

The best thing about RFOM is the guns, they are some of the most unique weapons ever created for gameplay.

The gameplay changes everyday, due to the Server choosing the ranked games for you, sometimes you play against total noobs, or some great pros.

You gain XP in the game to unlock skins, rank, and gain medal/ribbons. Every game you play in Ranked nets you some XP, come in 1st nets you more. There are some ridiculous hard Medals to achieve, like 85%, 95% Accuracy in 10 ranked games (not consecutively).

It's a fun game, there are some cheatsers/lagswitchers but my RFOM has been 95% fun for me, the other 5% is due to running into pros, or the usual noob with Rocket Launcher.

It was probably the most important thing they fixed. Its not a system seller but it should have been taken care of at the start.

It was a really useful update, no doubt, but the Ps3 is still a big piece of unfufilled promises, hopes and dreams. I'm waiting, Sony...*taps fingers on desk*
