It's possible a router can send bad packets, but it's unlikely that these bad packets would match whatever SE is looking for as malicious... unless any bad packet is considered malicious by them and you've sent so many that it tripped up their threshold for "ban or no-ban".

I also think it's unlikely that you were banned for one infringement of a POS tool that you weren't even GM'd for.

The third thing you mentioned, using windower macros, should also be undetectable because people spamming the same macro over and over (or two macros in rapid succession) could cause just as many "equipment changed" messages in the same amount of time as someone using this tool.... unless you're doing a helluva lot of macro presses in such a way that would be obviously using winder AND they're actually looking for that. (something tells me SE doesn't even get the "equipment changed messages" but rather a new instance of your Character with its new gear on (which is received by the server once per tick of time).)

Anyway... the most likely of those three things you'd be banned for is the bad packets... in my opinion.

Since it provides you a means of detecting PH mobs? So if it's a nono, and it's detectable, why the fuck are the 3 different RMT groups who live at Ulli still there, and still never killing anything but PH mobs? Also why are they still warpclaiming Ulli?
I've been planning on testing this, but I think changing the .DAT files to rename placeholders isn't detectable unless you say the placeholder's changed name using <t> or some other targeting script in party chat or whatever.

I'm pretty sure that when GMs check log data when it comes to specific fight information, they check it aginst the server's own log record (rather than the user's) to minimize errors due to lag or bias between users, which would cause the GM to see the normal name of the mob being fought (because its named correctly on the server), and its looking like its being fought legit.

I don't think I explained it well, maybe someone else can.

When I do this little thing, I don't really change the mob's name at all. I just add a period (.) at the end of its name so it looks a little more innocuous, e.g. Aura Statue., Damselfly., Rock Lizard., etc.

Their impact is not really an issue, in my opinion. Yeah it's a violation, yeah it impacts the economy, but it doesn't directly interfere with our ability to enjoy end game battles. I don't mean to sound as though I'm advocating fishbots, but I think they are small potatos compared to the bigger issue. I think they are being prioritized incorrectly.
I'd say locking down Ulli is a cockblock for sure, but it's only blocking two monsters. Fishbotting generating massive amounts of gil which floods the economy cockblocks anyone who wants luxury items off of the Auction House who can't/won't RMT or cheat to generate their own gil.
Three mobs: Kirin, Byakko, and Ullikummi itself.

And fish botting isnt really that bad the money they introduce is minimal and everyones economy is shit anyway. The reason sushi is cheap is because rmt fish bot. There isnt a big issue with fish botting with how minimal the gil actually is and how fast they'll lose it on ah fees. Isnt a concern that would bother players at all because all they do is introduce gil to system, every price rises 5% or lowers 5% so theres really no change at all except in comparison to your current gil but prices fluctuate anyway and you could have easily lost 20k more ish on an overpricer. Flat out the point is endgame events arent effected by fish botters so your not having your endgame ruined because people arent cockblocking your fun away

Well, I was counting Kirin and Byakko in my statement. I don't know of many people that camp Ulli for anything other than Autumnstones.

Just like Rabao Rusty Caps were minimal? Yea the stuff they sell to NPCs is minimal on an individual basis, but you seem to be forgetting that there are often 30+ bots doing this all at the same time, constantly, without rest unless they are MPKed, on each and every single server. And that's just Batallia, who knows any other fishing holes where the rules might be similar?

The thing is they are using the same hacks to POS to a fishing spot and the same hacks to bot fishing while automatically releasing monsters as the RMT in sky, who are using hacks to warp to and claim Ullikummi. It's the same problem, but on different scales.

rusty caps were nerfed in gil price hence the fact is why no one does it anymore

No shit. SE needs to do the same for the rusties fished up in Batallia. The RMT aren't making the majority of their money off of black sole, I'll guarantee you that.

Sole NPC's for 8400 stack. No processing needed.

Not sure why they would even bother selling to the AH for 1k more.

Sole sells well to an NPC, but there's still a ceiling on how many fish you can catch a day. There's no limit on rusties. That's the point.

It Rusties must be profitable. I don't see RMT being generously buying out the light crystals and lighting crystals to lose additional money.

My assumption is they fix > NPC

When you find one that looks like this:

You know they're fishbotting rings, picks, caps, etc.
    Substitute your server.

With all due respect, I could give a rats furry ass about botted subligar excitement. SE needs to not ban people for "Bad Packets" that "Make it appear as though you were looking for a cheat" or "Trying to dupe items" those are the 2 different explanations as to why "Bad packets" is an issue.

If.. my uPNP on my router isn't so hot, and it isn't (Go go trying to use torrents), and I get packets mixed up between 3 PCs online at the same time.. and they can't tell the differance... dear lord. So I am thinking that packets between the Accounts were mixed up with who they were ment for.. and it made it look like I wanted to hack or dupe items.

They don't even have an example of me hacking.. just that "I could be looking for one" or "Could be trying to dupe items"... Go go computer school rejects

    On a lighter note:

Me>> I play 90% on PS2 because it lags less and seems to be more user friendly
POL#2>> You would be surprised, people mod thier PS and hack on FFXI, I have seen it several times.
Me>> Wow, so people hack on PS2 also?
POL#2>> Yes, it is more common than you would think.

Or maybe you could've not been a cheapskate and bought a new router.
    Who knows.

Looked for one, but the three places we can get them locally, all had the same brand. "Linksys broadband router", and same model as the one I have, which unfortunatly has a firewall, but can't turn it off >.>

So I was looking for one where I could...
