Head: Bard's Roundlet. Healer's Cap +1? I guess?

Body: I surely hope people do not debuff in osode. Manteel > * It almost saves inventory space if ya do not need dalmatica to force minstrel's ring.

Hands: Yup but WHM does have blessed, hands are terrible.

Legs: Hi Choral Cannions +1.

Feet: I already said Feet were quite good for WHM.

So 1 piece out of 5... body is very situational and ends up only being an inventory saver, gomlek provides more or less the same thing at the expense of 4 more pieces (which provide almost the same bonus as a full set of Marduk... minus the mp/hp).

I was under the impression that CHR+10 and Wind skill +5 would beat Wind skill +8 hands down for debuffing. How are Choral Cannions +1 better? o.O;

I was actually asking - still new to BRD, but 3 Wind skill being better than 10 CHR doesn't really sit well with me in terms of logic. Marduk's Shalwar looks like quite the upgrade from Choral Cannions +1, to me.

it's not exactly a great upgrade, and if I already had the cannions+1 I wouldn't have bothered with shalwar. But it's cheap and (somewhat) easy to obtain so meh :X

For me, legs would effectively open up a space in inventory (when I'm worried about inventory things) and would most likely be my legs of choice when /nin (since when subbing nin, I don't use my Bard's Cannions +1 and instead use Choral +1 since 42 MP isn't going to help). 10 CHR and 5 Skill when I'm trying to decide whether to use 8 CHR/42 MP or 8 Skill is a really nice option.

For everything that I don't need to worry about MP for though, I'd prolly keep my Choral +1 (since they're macro'd into my Wind debuffs anyway).

Unfortunately, stupid Bhaflau is stingy and has only given us 1 pair of brayettes, and now there's 3 people in front of me for them since I don't have the 25 and BC seems to hate me. :<

I no longer carry Jester's Cape +1 with me, I use Astute for full time casting. That said, there is no chance I will use the legs over af1+1. I wish CHR had more of an impact, but it just does not.

And I generally use Haidate over other leg choices while pulling on bard.

I normally can't land elegy on Proto-Omega/Ultima without giving myself double CHR etudes... So to say it does jack shit is kinda silly

With that said, I'm quite sure the +10 CHR will do a lot more than the +1 skill you get from choral cannions +1.

I also always notice quite a difference in debuffs landing rate when I manage to unlock CHR in Salvage D:
I agree that skill>CHR but it's 10 CHR vs 3 skill in this case, not 1 vs 1...

If you already have Bard's Roundlet / Bard's Roundlet +1 and Choral Cannions +1, then the corresponding Salvage pieces probably don't look that great. In my understanding, the salvage pieces are slightly better for magic accuracy, but you're probably not going to notice any improvement. So how you feel about the Salvage pieces depends on which you had first. Also, if you are trying to max out Victory March, then you'd want the Tiara and the Cannions +1. I'd rather have Jubbah over Manteel, but that's partially an arbitrary personal decision -- I see that freakin' Manteel everywhere! That, and I don't have Manteel nor Dalmatica/Vermy currently, so the Jubbah makes for a nice combo piece. Hands are good if you want some regen, and feet for WHM.
