Pretty awesome that people are completing this stuff, I think it gives people who previously thought they wouldn't be able to finish anything a little more hope and therefore bringing up teh numbers of people who actually wanna go![]()

That is one sexy piece.
Please make a better fashion shot with more.. uh.... visibility?
I'd honestly prefer the rather cheap Trotter boots, but maybe I'm just too cheap because of my byne bill debt, no -evasion and +agi for fairly meaningless evasion differences. Only +12% means I only really care for Skadi Feet, though body would still be nice for DE in solo play.Originally Posted by divisortheory
I assume you meant legs? And yea, Trotter Boots are fine, but camping Simurgh is hella boringOriginally Posted by Eaglestrike
And it's still undetermined how strong the +crit is from the set bonus. I'm not holding out hope, but if it's like 10-15% I could probably find a use for it. Plus, I'm sure the time will come someday when you level another job.
Yeah I meant Legs, oops. I don't see too many uses for the stat difference of the sets, crit bonus would have to be massive and just seems like too rare of a chance. I don't have the gil for another job, I still require millions of gil to complete thief and even get my PLD up to above average gear, all it has is Homam, lol. So another job is far off, I'll pass this someone else who might make more use of it.Originally Posted by divisortheory
Saw a JP on Carbuncle named Rufus in Ares's Cuirass during besieged a few days ago. Didn't bother with SS since I play on PS2, but that armor is pretty sweet looking.
As a COR I'd wear the body, legs, and feet full time and give the head and hands a try if the set bonus is worth it. Hands are still nice for ranged WS, the whole set is pretty comparable to Hecatomb/Adaman which is pretty nice cuz COR doesn't get a lot of gear choices.Originally Posted by Eaglestrike
wow them legs are amazing, suprised I never noticed them, I probably saw 3% Haste and looked away but for WS they're hot
I'd use em for TP over Homam, personally. Store TP and Attack makes up for the loss of Acc on Homam.Originally Posted by Starr
I'm talking about the NIN/MNK/SAM/PUP ones, the THF legs are nice though.Originally Posted by divisortheory
#4 for our LS, lol. Congrats Kefk!! (Side note, this dropped off 3F N QQ)

lol what's your ratio on macha's coat?
About 1 for 20 between our two teams the LS runs. Second team completed the Morrigan on their 4th or 5th kill and my team is 0 for 15 on Treasure Hunters.
Sorry I guess my #4 was misleading, we have four salvage pieces completed now. One of them being Morrigan's, other's being Skadi Feet, Ares Body, and Usukane legs.Originally Posted by futceez
When I saw your post I thought you got 4 robes and I was ready to find where you live and kill you. Do you guys get the 15/25s before you even try the QQs?
He had the 15 and 25 already. Skadi feet was 15/25 and then 35, Ares and Usukane we had to do Silver Seas the next day to get the 15's. Leaving the 15 for the last piece is nice because it's 100% so we can focus on getting all our 25's and 35's out of the way.
I have the 15 and 25 morrigan's body too, just waiting for a generous QQ.
I also have the 15 and 25 marduk's hands but those are kinda meh;
Like Ice said we've taken to farming the hard pieces first then going back for the easier ones. We've found it helpful to prioritize runs based on what we need. We farmed Bhlaflau for a while until several of us were loaded up on the 15/25 pieces from there. Then we moved on to Arrapago for the 35 pieces to compliment the 25s we had. As we've gotten them, we have done runs in other zones to complete the armor as needed.
1/20 is rather depressing but I'm pretty sure that's roughly the drop rate. It's still better than camping kings (imo). Just takes time and perseverence. Since we have a small group hopefully we can complete things relatively rapidly.
Congrats on your 4th piece! The drop rate doesn't seem as bad I guess due to the fact you can kill 5-6 NMs per run and go about 3 times a week. Still way better than kings in the long run I think.
BTW have you guys gotten any lvl35 piece from Silver Seas yet? We've killed a bunch for the lvl15 armors but have yet to see any lvl35 drop. I just assumed the drop rate on the SS NMs was going to be the same as Arrapago.
