We got the 35 piece around 2am PST on wednesday morning so it feels a bit surreal that we got it upgraded so quickly. I guess there was a bit of NA pride involved - I really wanted to be among the first with it. :D It's my only piece of upgraded marduk so I'm anxious to see the whole set bonus - I haven't had much of a chance to test it out in my everyday activities but I feel pretty damn proud of what we accomplished. I'm so thankful to everyone involved - my static of course and everyone here on BG that finally figured out this puzzle of a drop.

Hot grats! What is the % fast cast?

Edit: Fast Cast from body seems to be 4%; a quick test showed recast to be 2% (60sec > 58, 45sec > 44, 40sec > 39 just spamming a macro with 6 lines of /recast) and as I understand it the standard is that casting time reduction is twice the recast reduction.

It's not a problem lol.. I was just pointing it out, didn't understand why SAM was suddenly ruled out!

Albeit it's definitely not as good as it seemed before, but that has less to do with the haste results and more to do with the 2h changes that made accuracy less desireable. The haste amount is still awesome for SAM.

I just finished reading through all 41 pages of this thread (over the last few days) and it was very entertaining and fun to read/watch as grps progressed from knowing barely anything to accomplishing full sets. Great team work accross the forums in helping each other out :D

I don't see that as worthless for WHM. If I had that, I would wear it full-time and macro Aristocrat's Coat in for cures. It has the same Refresh, but then the Fast Cast will affect all the other spells that a WHM has to cast.

The fast cast will also affect the cures if you macro it properly.

Example:

(marduk body already equipped)
/ma "Cure V" <t>
/equip body "Aristocrat's Coat"
/wait howeverlongittakestocast
/equip body "Marduk's jubbah"

This would leave marduk body on for the initial cast, so you would gain the fast cast effect for the spell, than immediately switch to aristocrat's coat/nobles tunic so you gain the effect of cure potency+ as well, than switch back to marduk's for fast cast on your next spell. Granted that's a lot of blinking, but it would work.

I didn't even think about the fact that you'd have the Fast Cast still if you switch equipment while casting, but that does seem logical.

I think you are missing the fact that with 5/5 it probably gives another 5% on top of what the body gives. Which is sekz

Giving up Cure Clogs would probably negate any set bonus benefit (judging from the likely 5% bonus.) That's not to say WHM doesn't benefit from the full set but, for strictly FC, I don't see it winning out...

Its not the set which you wear as a whole to be super l33t (except for brd i think)

only set that does that is usukane......jobs able to benefit the most out of it(MNK AND SAM!!!!!!!!) oh and happy PUPs

ares marduk skadi set kinda not as good as existing gears combined

maybe cor and rng can make full use of skadi gear at least? definately not BST. Thf can make use of some parts really well like running, range attack etc :D but not for entire fighting time AS A SET i am sure
