Salvage Gears anyone?

I didnt include NIN AF body because:

1. Haub outshines it in DD on birds (cant eat sushi and even with merits and all other decent acc gear I cant get enough acc to sacrifice 12 from haub. Who cares if you attack 5% faster if you miss 10% more).

2. Im not going to use NIN af body on any decent NM.


But regardless, if you use NIN AF body in that comparison, you would have to give Usukane another bonus over "normal nin tp" set"
24 more acc would then be 36 more acc.
7 more str would then go to 13 more str.
-3 attack would then go to +15 attack.

So yes, you get dual weild, but you further increase the accuracy/str/att gap that usu has. (though you decrease the evasion gap).

If you are really at the point where the loss of 12.5 ACC are going to make you miss more than 5% then yeah sure do Haub. If you are worried about ACC - AF+1 Body and N.Kote could also outdo the Haub + Dusk combo.

ToAU has given NIN a nice ACC boost in gear options. Fire Bomblet, Perdu Blade, Usukane Feet for 18 more ACC without trading in anything really painful. I am using my AF+1 Body most of the time now while having some ACC to macro in for Lurkers.


So anyway wrong topic for discussion maybe - I didn´t do the AF body vs Usukane comparison to correct you but for myself.

LBC finally dropped my Phobos body, and then later we hit up Arrapago with a pretty ridiculous setup and Macha's Coat dropped for Hwang (3/117 on Macha's Coat now). These are 7 and 8 for our group's 3/3, and 11th in ThoseGuys.

wouldn't boost it much. elvaan, /whm. probably 200ish or less base mp, +15% mp boost would only add 25ish!


well, add mp ring stuff and a bit more. But marduk won't boost brd mp by much. whm and smn however... by quite a bit.

Base MP on BRD/WHM is 198 (with merits)

My "working" MP is usually over 300. Max is something like 650.

Congrats! Is the 4% a quick estimate you've eyeballed, or have you had time yet to test it out and say 4% is definitely the set bonus? 4% is interesting because it could imply each set can have a different bonus% and not just 5% all across the board like some have conjectured. Alternatively it could imply that the nameless-faceless-phantom "some JP" source of 5% is wrong, although believable.
