Salvage Gears anyone?

A lot of luck on drop distribution too, i.e. 3rd and final Ares' body, 3rd and final Ares' legs, 5th and final Skadi legs, only person who wanted ares hands/head, only person there who wanted our 4th marduk hands.

what lotting system do you follow because i hate the point system my ls has. I did get lucky one night when nobody lottiing Ares set showed and the 35 body dropped so i got it..But to me points in salvage are gay...Just trying to find out what system you guys use.

It's not really a system, whoever is leading the run will generally decide who should lot (or sole take) item depending on attendance and other factors (do they have 2/3? Do they have 5 peices and other person has none? Does anyone else even want the garbage that just dropped? etc).

It's kinda like manaburn's /point system but on a far smaller base of familiar people.

Our last 3 Chariot have yielded Usukane Legs <.< 4 Total, 2 Marduk and 00000000000000 Skadi Feet siiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiigh.

Also, since we've been doing Salvage, and farming Ramparts, we've only ever gotten 1 Lv35 item to drop, and that was off of the very first Skirmish Pephredo that we saw pop and drop Usukane gg.

As far as out lotting system goes, we do somthing pretty diffrent. you get to rank 3 items in the order you want per path, set/slot dont matter at all. So it looks somthign like this:

Path 1: Item 1, Item 2, Item 3
Path 2: Item 1, Item 2, Item 3
Path 3: Item 1, Item 2, Item 3
Path 4: Item 1, Item 2, Item 3

When an item drops, in a given path, all the Priority 1s are on same lotting rank, then Priority 2, then 3, after that it free lot to those that can use, then pure free lot. There is a small attendance factor, but this is pretty moot, but a new person joining needs to get a good chunk of attendance before they lot same rank as a person that has done a high % of the runs. So far its worked well.

As for our system, we use open bidding with points on LS. No limit on lv35, but for lv25s, 6 points will guarantee you the piece if you have the lv35, over someone without it (with 2 points per run).

Our system is pretty simple. The original 8 or 9 ppl that I was doing random late night runs picked 3 items in order of priority, set & piece doesn't matter except only 1 body is allowed. Newer members that just start coming with us pick 2 items, and they lot against the 2nd & 3rd choices of the original members. Once a certian amount of time has passed, the newer members move up to 3 items, and la-de-da, everyones happy for the most part.

We figure that way our older members who've been going hardcore almost every day/night at completely random times don't get screwed for the piece that they want the most, and also gives the newer members chances at what they want. Comments? So far this has worked pretty well for us, our only problem is completing all the 35 pieces we have..

It's awesome what you can do with a small group of people who get along and aren't so driven by greed that you need silly point systems to make sure everyone contributes/is rewarded fairly.

Some job-based common sense, some attendance-based common sense, some individual member piece priority (i.e. I was fine with passing usable 35s to stay at the top of the list for Usukane Sune-Ate), and respect for each other works wonders.

I figured the best way to decide drops and stuff is semi-nazi point and lot. Based on attendance, attitude, pieces, etc... long as they aren't being jerks they'll get chances to lot stuff. That is, if that stuff ever drops ;;

the secret of getting 35 drops, is making a new shell, and adding a lot of people that have no idea how salvage works (it seems newer groups have much better luck).
secondly, in my ls, the way we choose our lotting lists is based off of your jobs, ie, i have 75 mnk/pld, therefor i can only choose ares/usukane, so my list might look like this usukane body/legs/feet, ares helm/hands. on top of this, we are based off of who has the most pieces, so for usukane legs, assume the first piece drops, everyone who wants lots (and for this sake assume i won), i would have sole lot on the next pieces, unless someone else tied me and it would be contested between us. also, attendance plays part too...

i wish we had that kind of luck on the archaic chariot, we are 1/10 of any drop, and that 1 time was usukane legs, we have 1 legs, 2 feet, and 1 hand still waiting for drops :/
