I have a really uncommon name... in fact I'm probably the only person in america with my name so I'm extra paranoid...I use other ppl's (eg. fake name/address) credit cards to pay for accounts I inherit lol...just in case POL decides to match up addresses and names...

Thanks man. It is bullshit because I did nothing wrong. Having a friend pay for my account is such a fucking crime. SE thought that I gave that person my account info, but nobody has my info. My character is worth too much to get jacked by someone. Well hey, shit happens. Nothing I can do about it.

Isn't the owner of the account whoever's CC is linked to the account? I believe your friend could probably have had your password reset and taken the account once you allowed changing of the biling info. So in SE's point of view, your friend does have your account info.

Also curious, did you changing the billing info w/ his CC info, or did he do it w/ you giving him the account info and changing the password later?

I mean it sucks losing your account and stuff, but you have to be equally mad about your hacking friend takinig you down with him.

No, my friend gave me her CC info over the phone while I put it in. I wouldn't of done it if my account info was needed.

there are tons of ways of getting your account back.
Depending on the duration it has been banned, and when it's restored, will however dictate the condition it is in when you get it back.

The ways of getting your account back really depend on who you speak to.

I lost an Adaberk after someone logged onto my account using a key logger. He dropped it and other valuable items before I called SE and reset my password. SE gave me the "why did he have your account info in the first place" routine. After beating the SE person down in an argument that lasted well over 30 minutes, He asked me to hold and then someone else came on the line. He was quick to say that he could do nothing to get my items back.

And yet, a friend of mine diabolos wanted to get back at his ex/gf, logged on her account and did what any insane person in his position would do; dropped her Kraken Club, dropped her SH+1 (this was back when SH+1 was in the region of 15-20 million*xmas 2005*, and many other valuable items. She called SE, explained the situation, and every last single item of hers was returned. Not only that, but his account was suspended for 3 days, despite there being a lack of any evidence in and out of the game, that he had actually done it.

The leader of one of the best shells on Hades had his account perma banned. for the period of a bit more than a year, word spread that he was getting his account back. When we asked how, the most commonly accepted premise was either that he bribed someone he knew at SE, or just chased after the matter so persistantly that SE finaly caved in.

Although i've never been banned, I've had my account restored 5 times, and deleted 4 times. Yet SE always make it a point that they do not restore characters more than once.

It think it boils down to, "It depends on what you did and who your dealing with." because SE seriously can't seem to make up their minds. I blame the fact that NA GM's are not directly employed by SE.
