    That is just stupid. I wouldn't respond to /say either (except if GM speaking goes through filters). I have /shout, /say & /emote filters on. 99% of the stuff said on those isn't directed at me & generally are nothing intresting. Want to talk to me? Send /tell. It isn't possible to filter that & I don't have any reason to filter that either.

    By far one of the most epic threads in BG history. The whole thing is worth reading, but I believe this is what you are talking about?

    Depending on the duration it has been banned, and when it's restored, will however dictate the condition it is in when you get it back.

    I lost an Adaberk after someone logged onto my account using a key logger. He dropped it and other valuable items before I called SE and reset my password. SE gave me the "why did he have your account info in the first place" routine. After beating the SE person down in an argument that lasted well over 30 minutes, He asked me to hold and then someone else came on the line. He was quick to say that he could do nothing to get my items back.

    And yet, a friend of mine diabolos wanted to get back at his ex/gf, logged on her account and did what any insane person in his position would do; dropped her Kraken Club, dropped her SH+1 (this was back when SH+1 was in the region of 15-20 million*xmas 2005*, and many other valuable items. She called SE, explained the situation, and every last single item of hers was returned. Not only that, but his account was suspended for 3 days, despite there being a lack of any evidence in and out of the game, that he had actually done it.

    The leader of one of the best shells on Hades had his account perma banned. for the period of a bit more than a year, word spread that he was getting his account back. When we asked how, the most commonly accepted premise was either that he bribed someone he knew at SE, or just chased after the matter so persistantly that SE finaly caved in.

    Although i've never been banned, I've had my account restored 5 times, and deleted 4 times. Yet SE always make it a point that they do not restore characters more than once.
    It think it boils down to, "It depends on what you did and who your dealing with." because SE seriously can't seem to make up their minds. I blame the fact that NA GM's are not directly employed by SE.
    I can't remember exactly what I was told, and by who, but that's pretty much it. I don't know how the company(s) is/are run. But upon hearing the story, I remember thinking "that's counterproductive". wish I could remember the details. But what I do remember is that the company incharge of game dynamic and development are not the people who make alot of decisions in regards to customer support.
