I'm guessing the next sequence of missions won't be available unless you've completed every assault. And by every, I mean even Lebros Supplies.Originally Posted by Septimus

Funny part is that the king's wife was schtupping a bard with the same character model as me.Originally Posted by Toth
The puppetmaster is the advisor not the empress. The 'standard' ruse so that the empress can go out and intermingle with her subjects is ussually someone really far down the social ladder that would be ignored by most people but expected to go into nearly any area. A typical role would be a tea vendor or some other wandering merchant.
Unfortunately, I don't have the pictures anymore. I do remember, however, that the Astral Plinth is indeed intact/lit up/makes that neat little whiny noise the one in Al Zahbi does when it's lit up.Originally Posted by Jeryhn
Nope! The structure & texture files have not been updated or changed in any way since my last visit to Nyzul, so the Astral Plinth remains unchanged.Originally Posted by safer
That was a separate thread when I was on Brick, and the zone is called "Hazhalm Testing Grounds." It's permanent double dark weather iirc and the area is fucking huge. It is not, however, and I know this without a shadow of a doubt, any sort of BC arena. The structure is all wrong. So either it's a dynamis-style one LS at a time thing, or it's a everyone's welcome to join in thing. Also the last floor is pitch black and has a purple ambience to it.Originally Posted by Sonomaa

It's not really replying to your post, but I had always interpreted Apollyon as Promyvion-Al'Taieu, and since it has the Keeper of the Apocalypse, it is also the lower/central Promyvion (hence its original name), and Temenos is the Ou'Hpat Obelisk which has been absorbed or whatever by the Emptiness, hence the title you get (Temenos Liberator). The Kingslayer Orc NM and the proto-weapons show that the enemies there seem to have been taken or whatever by the Emptiness, ENMs might be similar to them, but they seem to be the Emptiness manifesting as monsters familiar to us (although the Moblin ENM60 guy might be normal, his Fantoccini might be the ENM).Originally Posted by Terrance
...Sorry, I've been wanting to get this stuff out of me for a long time.
Apollyon/Temenos weren't part of the story. I'm sure they originally had something cool planned for them, but all the people bitching about how much FFXI sucks made them sell out and change it into what it is now.Originally Posted by Sagacious Sundi
In my deepest, darkest dreams, I picture a massive final BC fight consisting entirely of you and your party literally scaling Alexander/Alzadaal/whatever as its massive bulk plods its way through the ocean towards Al Zahbi, threatening to crush the entire city. As you race to the top, assisted by Prince Luzaf and some Ephramadian corsairs, you must deal with Imperial soldiers sent to stop you before you reach its pinnacle, as well as Alexander's automated defense systems. When you finally reach the top, you fight Razfahd/the Empress/whoever in a desperate attempt to gain control of and stop the automaton before it crushes all of the Near East. And if you run out of time, you're treated to a cutscene of Whitegate being destroyed by a gigantic hell-robot.Originally Posted by Jeryhn

I know people are probably sick of me bitching about this, but I think it's fair to say that people would be using this content if they didn't have to waste 12 hours a day camping Ulli to do their weekly(I can't really remember weekly sky runs tbh) god fights. I also think it fair to say that many people who don't have the Zilart gear they want are more interested in it at the moment than the current content available. I know I am. I finished up all the available ToAU missions, and I'm sitting at LC near a promotion, but I still spend(read: waste) more time at Ulli every week than I do in Assault, Besieged, Salvage, Limbus and Dynamis combined.Originally Posted by Septimus
Otherwise, I completely agree with you Septimus.
edit: Right on with the Alexander bit. It's either Alexander or something very very gay meant to cocktease us about Alexander.
if they fixed it people would actually come back to the game i think >.>Originally Posted by Melchiah
I've never been inside the Hall of Binding after the AC was stolen, but don't the beastmen remove the whole plinth along with the candescence? I never bothered to compare the crest on the plinth in Mamook since I figured it was the same thing as in Al Zahbi...I suppose that since all 4 of these Remnants are "Salvage" zones, and thinking upon the idea that the beastmen are running around in there too, and the fact that the Pliniths are "detachable", it would make sense that Al Zahbi took the Silver Seas Plinith, whereas the other three Pliniths were taken by each of the beastmen forces surrounding Al Zahbi.
Here's a screenshot of one, but it's kind of unclear which part of the crest is glowing the brightest. It loooooks like the top-right part, but that could just be the timing. Does anyone have a better shot of a captured AC?
