Downloadable Services (VC, XBLA, PS3 Download Service)

Just out of interest. I am sure its probably a copyright issue or whatever.

But I like to back up all my games that I bought from the VC onto the SD card. However half of what I have cannot be copied to the card. I can copy Mario Kart 64, and Mario 64 (Both nintendo games) But Street Fighter II, Columns, and some other shite cannot be copied. Obviousley SF II is Capcom's © and Columns has a Sega ©


Is this something that other people are experiencing or is it just me. I havent looked into this yet but its really annoying me at the moment. If I cant back up anything but NIntendo © games then I may as well stop purchasing Sega Turbo Grafix etc games. Because I want to back up my data. And I dont know what happens if I have to format the Wii and wish to download them again Ie do I have to pay again or can I re download ?

You can just redownload them and not have to pay again. I remember reading that a while ago.

Wii's service is great... especially after next week.
XBL's service is also great. They have a nice selection of demos and if you've got money to spend... some movies/TV shows to pick up as well.
PS3's service on the other hand is absolutely fucking horrendous. It literally took 5-6 hours to download a 650mb demo (GTHD) and the update I needed to download when I first got the system took longer than a fresh installed FFXI update.

Seems like your wireless is screwing up with the PS3 like mine is... that, or your connection is terrible.

I'm using a wired connection for that. I heard stories about the PS3 wifi being a piece of shit, so I just use the wired way... and it still sucks.

No its the San disk one with the official nintendo seal on it.

You can just redownload them and not have to pay again. I remember reading that a while ago.
