Console Battle: Wii vs 360 vs Ps3

So that being said I'll get things started...

Nintendo had a hot start...

I forsee it tetering off in the near future..

PS3 gaining the most ground by end of 2007, pulling even with Wii, but still about 5 million behind the 360 at that point(due to HALO3 release mid year).

Nothing is more fun than running around shooting the hell out of shit. I'm going with Nintendo until Devil May Cry 4 comes out..thats when I'll be buying a ps3

Note the degree to which many developers completely disregard this point. It's kinda hard to deny, for awhile SE was just trudging along releasing whatever the hell they wanted, and getting 7-digit buys because it was FF. plenty of other people just release total crap under the guise of a successful franchise because they know it'll make money.

Not tired at all, it just outgrew the available technology. I'm expecting something pretty special from R*

I have all 3, and so far...

Wii > 360 > PS3, in regards to everything but graphics obviously.

Nothing at all, I'm simply arguing that SE can get tons of sales irregardless of what they release if they put the words "Final Fantasy" on it.

I agree, thats the only thing thats kept me Sony loyal since I was 13.

I will always get a sony provided they have the Final Fantasy franchise.

I love MGS as well, but it doesn't sell the console for me, compared to FF which does.

I absolutely love my Wii, but I fully intend on getting a PS3... someday

I've never been a fan of Xbox, so 360 isn't on my list of consoles to buy

Ultimately by end of '07, 360 will prolly still hold the lead on account of having been out so long, then Wii, then PS3

I stand by my assessment that Solid Snake is "Everybody's 3rd or 4th favorite character." You ask everyone what their favorite series is, few will say MGS outright. No one will say they hate it.

The Wii will get old eventually...Of course, the idea behind it is great, but I'm sorry, it wont match 360 or PS3 in terms of graphics. Now you may say, "Graphics don't make the game, Game play does!" Sure, but u can only move your hand around so much, till it gets boring. My opinion tho! 360 is a great system, but I think what will catapult the PS3 is the release of MGS4 and FF13...Halo 3 and Gears are great games, but shooters...

I didn't say MGS was a seller by itself, but once MGS, DMC, and FF will be out, many people will buy a PS3 (well at least the fans of these series will, and these 3 are currently PS3's biggest draws.)

I agree..eventually the Wii will just be a party console, while the other two will mainly be for shooters(360) and RPGs/other Sony franchises(PS3)...even though i'm looking forward to Blue Dragon and Lost Odyssey.
