I made a big oversight that would really helped me prove my case with the customer support. I forgot "www" before playonline.com

With Adelphia's DNS server information:

One thing that seems to be different for me is that I am able to connect to the Playonline website just fine. It's only POL Viewer and the game itself that are giving me problems. Also, my IP address has changed from *.adelphia.net to *.rr.com, which doesn't seem to be the case with some others.

While I am rather sad I'e been unable to get in all day, mayhap this (hopefully) short blockage from FFXI will get me working on other things

I can't find any other Japanese sites that I can't connect to >< I have about 6-7 JP sites in my bookmarks and they all work fine. Trying sites like yahoo.co.jp and such work fine, as well.

then if anyone gets that same line about the earthquake causing issues, I'd ask them if other japanese or taiwanese isps are having issues with TW. They should also have problems, and if you can connect to multiple japanese ISPs ok, then it should still be simply a POL connection issue.

I sent my Digg story to a couple gaming websites to see if anyone picks up the story

ok so, i gave http-tunnel another shot, and its working, however, its 1.5k/s connection isnt gonna get me into pol, it keeps timing out. I'm not gonna fork out 5 bucks for something that i'm unsure will even work. if someone wants to PM me a key or something, i'd be grateful.

Using http-tunnel is the closest i've been able to get to logging in. (doing the pol morse code thing)

ok cool, thanks for letting me know lol. I'm looking for a decent proxy that allows Socks 4/5 now, i wanna try something. If you find one let me know. The only ones i can find are HTTP only

i tried setting up a VPN on someone elses computer, however, they have firewalls, routers, etc. and i cant find someone who is willing to host a VPN for me. This seems like the only thing that will work for us until they fix this, so go find your friends and get them to host VPN's!!!
